I was a bit reluctant to add this hidden gem to Unilocal.Part of the fun was wandering way off the beaten path to find this great restaurant in the middle of nowhere. It’s an unassuming place in an unassuming neighborhood. If you ask they will dig up menus in English but there were no tourists here or anywhere near here. You wouldn’t have any reason to go to this part of town and even if you did, you’d walk right by this place. Anyway, the food. It was recommended to us by a local for having authentic Czech food. There are items officially certified as prepared to certain standards of authenticity and quality. I tried one of those, spareribs in honey chili sauce served with a cabbage salad, horse radish and mustard. Yeah, amazing. Great flavor and quite complex. My vegetarian wife reluctantly ordered the pickled brie salad with mustard dressing. She said her meal was great about three times and she doesn’t fake it. Cost for two entrees, a side dish plus bottled water and two shots of plum brandy was $ 18.
