This is truly authentic American food — a million times better than McDonalds. The chef, Ryan, is from Chicago and cares about every detail, importing ingredients and always asking customers for their feedback to make exactly what they want. The atmosphere is comfortable and I love that it’s non-smoking so you can enjoy the flavors of your meal. At least half the staff speaks English so they can cater to expats, but most of the clientele are locals from Liberec. The burgers and ribs are huge, so you won’t be hungry(or you can take half home for lunch the next day). Wing Wednesdays are a great deal, where you can mix different the different flavors — BBQ, Buffalo, Garlic Parmesan or Mango-Habenero — for 5kc each. There are also some good Mexican-inspired items on the menu — quesadillas or nachos. I also love that the lunch menu always offers at least one vegetarian choice every day — a nice touch from a burger joint. My favorite time of year there is Thanksgiving, in November, when they offer a traditional meal of soup, salad, turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, pie and cheesecake. It’s like being home for the holidays, but you don’t have to do the dishes afterwards! I can’t say enough good things about the Chicago Grill.
