Veggie Diary: A Mountain Pit Tavern While visiting Liberec I got invited for a dinner in this Greek Tavern. Furnished in a typical Greek light-wave style the place feels quite cosy even despite the artifical 2nd floor seating above. Meals: Except ‘Grilled Vegetable Mix’ drowned in olive oil we had several tasty starters that were interesting variations of seazonal vegetable and meat. As a main dishes we got Feta Rolls Salad and delicate Shrimp Noodles. Both good. My overall rating is 3 – 3.5* but I can imagine Greek kitchen fans giving a full score. Tip: Book a table in advance in case of dinner over a weekend night.

The atmosphere is fantastic — traditional blues and whites that truly capture the Mediterranean feeling. I love the upper level of balcony seating. The prices are a bit higher than your average pub, but the quality of food reflects that — particularly feta cheese that actually tastes authentic. Perfectly friendly service.
