I cannot say enough positive things about this hotel. If you are trying to figure out where to stay in Prague and this hotel is on your list of possibilities, book it. You won’t be sorry. We stayed here for 5 nights at the end of June 2015. I researched the hotel a lot on other sites since Unilocal didn’t have any reviews yet. I booked an «executive» room and specifically asked for one with a terrace I had read about on Trip Advisor. I wrote the manager who was responsive and fantastic and booked us into room 711. If you can, GETTHISROOM. The higher the floor the better the view(of course), but this room has a huge terrace(see my photos). The terrace is so big that it has a couch, chairs, table, swing and still tons of empty space. The terrace also has a telescope to view the sights around Prague. From our terrace we could see the Powder tower one way and old town and the castle the other way. Room 711 isn’t huge, but its terrace gives you a lot of outdoor space. After a long day of walking around Prague, sitting on the terrace with a coffee or drink watching the sunset is perfect. It’s also fun to use the telescope to look at the people in the powder tower and clock tower who are looking your direction! Our room also had a Juliet balcony facing toward the castle, but you can image that we never used it since we were always on the huge terrace. The room was good. King sized bed, table, chairs, tv, closet, and a good sized bathroom. The room was cleaned well each day and the ladies of housekeeping in the hall were always happy to give you an extra towel or anything you might need. Air conditioning works great. The location of this hotel is perfect. I don’t like to walk super long distances if I can help it and this hotel is 1 minute from the powder tower, 5 minutes from the old town square, 15 minutes from the train station, and maybe 15 minutes from Charles bridge. Those times are at my slow walking speed. So, you can imagine that the location is perfect. Don’t rent a car. The hotel will arrange a car to pick you up from the airport or train station and will add it to your room bill. I’d suggest it since taxi drivers are not all scrupulous and we had one try and charge us 8 times as much as he should have. Service: The front desk people could give lessons in customer service. They all speak English. They greet you when you come in and will help with anything from booking dinner reservations, a river cruise, taxis, or in our case, they found train times to a small village for us, printed them, and even wrote out how to ask for a return ticket in Czech. Breakfast was very good. There is a large selection of both hot and cold items. you can order from the menu OR get the buffet, but not both. The menu items are pretty small and don’t come with any side items, so stick with the buffet. Wifi: Yes, they have free wifi which is wonderful. The wifi worked great in our room and on the terrace it was hit or miss. We stayed there for 5 days and were very thankful for the reliable fast wifi. There are two elevators to the rooms, so no need to take stairs. There are plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants, and the like right out the doors. We have already recommended this hotel to a friend who is traveling to Prague. We lucked out staying here. Take our advice… book this hotel. And ask for room 711.

We enjoyed three wonderful nights at this hotel. We were greeted very warmly when we arrived and given a room even though we were very early. The room was clean, a little small but still comfortable, the bed was huge, pillows were fluffy, bathroom was beautiful and functional, and there was plenty of closet space. The robes and slippers were a nice touch. They offer free wifi which worked great most of the time. They also offer a mini-bar, which we didn’t use since there were many markets close by. We really enjoyed the location of this hotel. For us, it was perfect. I would gladly stay here again!
