I checked Unilocal so that I would have a nice posthumous dinner in Prague and decided on Jewel Café Bar. Planning to go out local Prague style tomorrow! Wonderful establishment, very few people were there when I arrived at 7 pm on Thursday. After a day surrounded by so many tourists, it was welcome. Great service, amazing cocktails, and super good food. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a nice dinner!

Staying at the attached hotel, I ate dinner twice at the Jewel Café. The goose confit was phenomenal, but the burger was pretty average(at least by US standards… it might be great for Prague?). But what really stood out to me about this restaurant was the staff. Every single interaction I had(two dinners, various drinks, multiple times just walking through) was warm, hospitable and positive. To consistently get this quality of customer service in a town where that truly seems to not be a priority, I felt incredibly grateful due to my lodging I was able to interact with this staff so regularly. It definitely helped make my vacation a little more special.

It’s a small bar at the evening but also serves as the breakfast room for the Jewel hotel. It’s a gorgeous place decorated with some nice period things and looks really elegant. The breakfast here is excellent. You can order hot food off the menu and they made me fried eggs with local ham which was excellent. The buffet was also nice with excellent bread(bread is an important thing having lived in Germany for a while ;-)) with fresh juice, cheese and cereals. I loved the ambience here and the staff are super attentive and friendly. Coffee here is illy and tastes good.

This is a nice little bar close to the Old Town square. Despite the location it was quiet and intimate, and was a perfect spot for a nightcap and dessert. Hubby and I enjoyed some Italian wine, finishing off with cheesecake and port. We sat inside(the tables out front were full) and still felt like we had an alfresco experience, as the front windows were wide open. The service was friendly although spotty. I’d definitely recommend a visit.

Smallish, stylish, upscale in atmosphere and quality but not in price, Jewel should not be missed. Dine in the intimate, elegant dining room or at the tables outside. Jewel offers a broad selection of mixed drinks and top shelf liquors, and a well built wine list including a number of very good wines offered by the glass. The dining menu includes more than a dozen tapas that change from time to time and a solid selection of high quality fare for the discriminating diner. There are also seasonal specialties. At this time of year asparagus is at its peak and Jewel has an ‘asparagus menu’ including a silky asparagus and scallop soup that was excellent. Service staff was prompt, attentive, and helpful. Perhaps the most remarkable is that all of this is offered at excellent prices. Drinks and snacks(don’t miss the fried anchovies!!!) for a couple will set you back about 500KC — about U$D 20.00

I truly love this place. It has lovely and really cosy atmosphere, it is in a great location and the staff is really friendly and helpful. Their menu is not super broad but you can be sure that any item you pick from the menu is going to be just awesome. This is quite rare for a place that positions itself as a bar and not a restaurant. Their drinks are really good and their wine list is also well selected. If you are looking for a great place for romantic evening or a relaxed night out with friends, then this is definitely the right choice.

A classy and stylish bar in the centre of Prague offering a delicious food(despite not so many, but smartly selected menu options) and excellent service. They have a large variety of drinks including a great choice of non-alcoholic alternatives. The desserts are just a few, but taste amazing, too. The portions of both main dishes and desserts are rather small. A weak light, candles on the table and nice music create a relaxing intimate atmosphere. I haven’t seen this place full, so not sure if the reservation is necessary.
