La Bodeguita del Medio

This restaurant is overpriced and deceiving. The staff are slow, incompetent and extremely rude. The first drink as for was the Europa party mojito (the Europe mojito have flavors). Instead, we received a bucket of ice with barley any mojito and the waiter brought the wrong drink (not that there was anything in the bucket though)

Nice place to go for some Cuban rhythms and drinks. Some staff were actually Cuban/​South American and spoke Spanish so added authenticity Had a great evening here… Consider making a reservation also if you are just coming for drinks

Después de tres miserables días comiendo sopas, panes y yogurt en la República Checa (porque te juro que es lo único que comen) me encontré a este restaurante cubano en Praga. Yo, súper emocionado de haber encontrado un lugar con comida de verdad, me meto como perro callejero hambreado y ordeno una pechuga de pollo «cubana» que, según la carta, venía con tomate, cebolla, pimienta y sabe que tanto. ¡¿Algo con sabor… en Praga?! Guau. Después de media hora esperando y escuchando la música de Thalía que ponen (por qué aparentemente su música es cubana) me entregan un pollo todo chafa y desabrido con unos pedazos de tomate por ahí. Qué decepción jaja. No sé cómo es que este lugar tiene casi 5 estrellas, pero supongo que si mi dieta consistiera de repollo, sopas y jamás hubiera salido de Europa del Este esto se me haría de lo más sabroso jaja que horror.

I have been here three times and the atmosphere is lovely with live band playing. You have to check the schedule. The sound system quite is poor. The drinks Mojitos are just because It lacks a bit of the rum tasted even the mint. The food lacks in flavor, perhaps because they are trying to please most tastes. I think they should stick to the authenticity and be true to the Cuban dishes. I still will come back and still recommended as one of the few liveliest places.

I was excited to see they had a Bodeguita Del Medio waking down the street in Prague. we sat at the bar and ordered an espresso and both the waiters were ver rude. A blond one, who didn’t speak any English or Spanish, prepared the coffee did it with a bad attitude, and his body language was negative. His facial expressions gave him away. The other was Asian although he was more positive and smoothed things out, the service wasn’t good. On the other hand, the espresso was good.

Best place to visit for those who like Latin music. Great cocktails. A bit pricey though but definitely worth trying. Live music and dancers on the stage every friday and saturday. Food is very delicious. My favourite cocktail bar in Prague. If u feel like shaking your booty you should definitely visit this place.

The local ist nice, the music is good, the food ist tasty, the cocktail is also good and especially the waitress is beautiful and very nice. I can complain nothing :-)
What can you more expect???

Awesome! Energetic! Fun-​filled, and yet has every drop of bar feel. Open late, so it is ideal to catch a theatre, or dine and walk around, then hang out for grrrrreat music, performances, entertainment, or just people watch.
Must hop in, and enjoy for an hour or more!
Experience Havana in Prague. Just stop by, you’ll know what I am saying.

Absolutely delicious Cubano food in the heart of Praha! So glad we found this little gem, but like most restaurants and bars in Praha, they haven’t caught on to the ban on smoking in restaurants. LBdM loses a star until this law goes into effect, and I pray it is soon. In the meantime, just go outside or attempt to seat yourself away from smokers. Despite this, I’d go back and plan to the next time I’m in Prague.

This place is awesome! Even if you’re a tourist like I was, you have to come here for the experience. It’s a 2 minute walk from Old Town Square and it’s a great change from most known places to eat. Living in Miami, you get to know Cuban food and I’ll tell you, from the moment you walk in, until you walk out, it grasps you. One of two Cuban (yes imported from Cuba) owners greet you at the door and if you speak any Spanish, they’ll treat you like family. The atmosphere is very warm and there are a lot of different places to sit for your mood.
Although I didn’t try it out, they have a really nice cigar room if you’re a cigar aficionado craving an authentic Cuban cigar. I had the Arroz Cubano and it was probably the best dish I’ve had this year. Every bite was incredible but I recommend splitting among at least two people, it’s a lot of food.
They have a downstairs bar and DJ that plays just about everything from bachata, salsa, merengue, cumbia, to latin pop. Like I said, if you’re in Prague, you have to go here. Best place I ate while I was there.

We didn’t try the food here but went on a Friday night for a drink as somebody told us it was one of the best Mojito place in Prague.
Well I don’t know if it’s the best but indeed the Mojitos are excellent served by crazy-​pro-​server-​bottles-​launcher!

A great Cuban restaurant and a bar with dancers and great latino music. The best is to come here for dinner and then stay and enjoy the drinks and latin music. When it comes to food, their carpaccio is one of the best in Prague

Pretty decent place. Lots of action and loud music happening. Food was good, drinks could have been better, but were not bad. Atmosphere was very busy and –almost– bordered on the edge of cheesy. Lots of half-​drunken cougars looking at salsa, if thats your jam.

If you are one of those people who are fond of music, dancing, great food, fantastic service and totally a kickass Mohito cocktails menu– then La Bodiguita Del Medio is a place for you.
You can listen to great Latin music, listen to live singing, see a live-​performance of talented Latin and African dancers in colorful and shiny outfits. Great food (both seafood and meat) has the best quality!
I would totally recommend everyone to get a reservation (from Thursday to Saturday it’s extremely crowded at nights). Get on this ride to happy and smily land of hot Latinos chicos and chicas ;)

one of my favorite places for cocktails. prices are relatively higher than other places but the atmosphere, quality and live music are worth that.

Tolle Bar mit täglich Livemusik auch unter der Woche. Ich war 4 Tage am Stück drin und kann nicht nur den Mojito empfehlen. Essen ist schon teuer aber sehr lecker. Ich hatte 2 Vorspeisen (eine mit Scampi), Filetsteak (hervorragend!) und einen oder mehrere gute Whiskey, eine Flasche Rotwein (ausgezeichnet und im Rahmen mit 40 Euro) alles in allem ca. 130 Euro doch der Abend hat sich gelohnt. Tolle Stimmung!
Am Besten sitzt man vorne in der Bar oder draußen an den wenigen Tischen und man will gar nicht mehr zurück ins Hotel gehen.

Prague, son château, son hiver glaciale, sa bière et ses plats en sauces… envie de changer un peu d’air? Et si vous alliez faire un tour à Cuba ?
Dans le pur style de la havane des années 60, La Bodeguita Del Medio vous propose cocktails, tapas, et plats, dans une ambiance chaude et conviviale.
La carte des cocktails est extrêmement riche (environ une 50taine) et sont très bien exécutés (goutez donc leur Margarita !!!) les prix sont très corrects, 5 euros maximum pour un cocktail bien tassé, souvent moins. Un petit creux? Jetez vous sur les tapas très bon marchés et très variés, eux aussi vraiment savoureux (goutez donc les pommes grenailles roulée au lard et sauce concombre, un délice !)
Si vous avez un peu plus faim, les plats d’insparations cubaine vous tentes les bras ! La cuisine est généreuse et savoureuse, attention aux prix parfois un peu élevés pour Prague: Rizoto a l’encre, sèche et calamards poilés: comptez environ 20 euros. (voire photo)
Dans la journée, une bande tourne avec les plus grands classiques cubains, mais le soirs on pousse les tables et grâce a un groupe au rythme endiablé, on danse la salsa, qu’on soit novice ou confirmé, personne né peut y résister !
Enfin, si vous êtes comme moi amateur de cigares, faites donc un tour au premier étage pour visiter le «cigar shop» qui en plus de nombreuses références, vous propose également de nombreux accessoire. Ici les fumeurs sont les bienvenus, alors profitez en ! Repaire de toutes les people tchèques (acteurs, chanteurs,…), cet établissement n’en n’est pas moins très chaleureux et cosmopolite.
Contrairement à ce que l’on pourrai croire la clientèle n’est pas exclusivement étrangère et ont y croise de nombreux tchèque.
Bref vous l’aurez compris, mon coup de cœur ici a Prague. Attention, le weekend la réservation sont indispensables car les 250 places de l’établissent sont toutes prises !

Der Tipp von Marco Polo hat sich gelohnt! Hier gibt es kubanische Atmosphäre und geniale Cocktails. Der Preis dafür ist für tscheschische Verhältnisse sehr hoch und die Bar gut besucht. Also nicht zu spät kommen und genug Geld mitnehmen!

Weltklasse, einer der besten Läden in denen ich jemals war. Die Kombination von Speiselokal, Salsastube, Smokerlounge und Bar ist quasi nicht zu toppen. Und der, der die Minzplantage dort mit Mojito wegschlürft bekommmt n Orden:-).

Amazing restaurant just off Old Town Square. It has a real atmosphere of Cuba with live music and dancers, but nothing posh, it really lives. Great for cocktails but also for a dinner as the food is just amazing. Not cheap, prices are comparable to London, but you wont regret. Absolute bliss. And perfect location.
