Best Indian food you can have here. A little far from old city but definitely worth the ride to this place. And anyway it’s 100 czk from old city. So definitely a place to go if you like Indian food.

We tried the buffet for lunch. The food was good with some good spice and variety. The set up is a little odd with no place to put covers or plates while serving. Without the covers, the curries cool quickly on this fall day with snow flurries. From our sample I would have to guess that the ala carte menu would be quite delicious. Our only quibble is that the restaurant was quite cold, really requiring us to leave on our jackets.

My Chinese family was yearning for a respite from all of the meat and potatoes in Central Europe, and fortunately stumbled upon better than expected Indian food in Prague. The lamb korma and garlic naan were great, but the highlight of my meal was — of course — the mango lassi, which was more yogurty than I’ve traditionally had. Surprisingly(and disappointingly) the chicken tikka masala was not as tasty as the other dishes as it was oversalted. Everything came out to a little more than USD $ 10 a person. The low ceilings and being underground makes this cozy little restaurant seem like a Hobbit hole. Super nice waitress!

The food was really good and pricey and the place was really nice. However I was charged for extra rice for a meal that comes with rice by default only because I asked if it’s served with rice!

I had read so many good reviews of this place and because it’s so close to home, we had to try it. I’ve been there twice for the buffet hoping that the second time would be better but it was not. Maybe the dinner service is worth it but I can’t recommend the lunch buffet.

Excellent Indian restaurant in Vinoradhy. We ordered vegetable samosas and tandoori vegetable salad with drinks for starters. The vegetable samosas served with mint chutney were perfect. The tandoori vegetable«salad» was mixed vegetables roasted in a spiced yogurt sauce. It was out of this world — so good that I’ll try to duplicate it at home in my outdoor pizza oven as soon as I get back. The only problem was that the starters alone were enough for a satisfying meal. Next came our main courses and chili garlic naan. We had Chicken Jalfrezi, which was chicken cooked in a dry sauce composed mainly of onions abundantly seasoned with peppers, ginger, hot peppers and spices, and Kashmiri Lamb Roganjosh, with a yogurt-based sauce, delicately seasoned with tomatoes, herbs and spices. Loved it. I ordered a mojito to start with and it was going so well with the starters that I continued with another mojito through the main courses. Yum! If we lived in Prague, we’d be regulars here.

A great Indian restaurant in Vinohrady with delicious food and affordable prices. Their meat in different variations, naan bread and lassi are just amazing. The service is good, and the dishes are prepared pretty fast. The menu selection is big, although the menu itself is simply printed on several white A4 papers(which doesn’t influence on the quality of food at all).

This place was awesome. Never tasted such overwhelming flavours before. The vegetarian dishes were marvelous(I tried to recreate this Shahi Paneer experience for myself and due to a lack of success I will ask the staff of Lal Quila to the unveal their secretI would pay only for this information!) Reasonable prices(approx. 9 – 13EUR for main dish) but worth a lot more than you pay at the table. Friendly staff and a cosy atmosphere. Go there and try the samosa as a starter!
