This spot was recommended to us by our AirBNB host. Glad we checked it out. Came in and were seated right away. Went with their avocado and salmon app that was pretty good. I was a bit surprised to see an avocado dish in this part of the world. For my entrée I went with the fried pork slices with a potato purée, pickles and a small salad. The meal was great, but I would have liked some kind of gravy on my potato purée though.

Consistently delicious and well priced, with excellent service. The wait staff actually smile at you, which is not customary for Czech service. I’ve eaten here multiple times, and was satisfied each and every time. They have a wide variety of dishes, and the menu is in English as well as Czech.

I tapped 5 starts and then I asked myself is it really worth it 5? So I went over my personal requirements of what it takes of a restaurant to be just according to my taste, and they include: pleasant, comfortable and well designed/arranged interior; delicious but affordable meals/regular portions(not tiny ones like in many restaurants); free wifi; and good if not great service. This place has it all and it deserves my 5 stars. It is very close to Lipanska tram stop, which is close to my school so I would say it is on a nice location. At the back/end of the restaurant there is an amazingly glass-built nice area that goes to a nice garden with benches(lavicka) I ate chichen with mashed potatoes and had a apple ice tea. Both were super good! Staff is polite, they always smile and not pushy like in many restaurants. Also, they are very fast with the service and food delivery which is important.

Went here with my wife while traveling in Prague. Food was good, not amazing but it did the trick and it was very reasonably priced. We got dinner for two plus beers for under $ 15 U.S. Dollars! Got the fried pork and potatoes as well as some Pesto based pasta and a Pilsner beer. Décor was all wood, very cute. Servers we’re friendly and spoke English which was nice since my Czech skills are non-existent. Would go again.

My fiancée and I LOVED this place while visiting Prague. It was close to our hotel so we tried it out. Great. Amazing. We ate here two times on our trip because we had to come back for the«pineapple ravioli» dessert. I still think about it today — so good! I had the duck breast the first time it was so yummy and cooked to perfection. The next time I had the pumpkin risotto which was delicious as well. We didn’t have a single meal/appetizer or dessert we didn’t love. But seriously, go there. Pineapple ravioli dessert is where it’s at. And the prices are great!(Compared to USA) we had 3 course meals with drinks for under $ 30USD.

We went here because it was close to our hotel. It was great! We had a really yummy tomato, mozzarella salad to start. Then my fiancée got their Duck breast which was excellent. I got the prawn pasta. The«pineapple ravioli» is AMAZING! We ended up going back a few nights later to get dessert and we had another great dinner of eggplant to start. She had goat cheese risotto and I had the ribs. Everything we had there we loved. Would highly recommend going. Every time we went there we had drinks, an appetizer, two dinners and two desserts. All for under $ 30USD. Really great for the quality of food.

We had a delicious traditional Czech meal. The pork knee is a huge portion and could shared among two. The veal special was filling and had great flavor with the beer sauce. Wine and beer was plentiful and the beer selection seemed greater than most places. Definitely a great venue and value.

This is our first stop in Prague, and we are very satisfied with it. We were staying in the Zizkov area, and I wanted something nearby, so I found this place on Unilocal. The menu was in English(as well as many other languages), the server was polite and quick, and the environment was pleasant. They have outdoor seating, which was perfect for a summer afternoon. Our food was delectable, topped off with their unfiltered dark beer, mmmmm! They have wifi as well — a big plus for travelers!

Nice place, good choice and cheap prices. One thing to note though, it closes early: at 10:30pm the kitchen stops.

I have to say– I am a fan of czech food. It’s heavy and makes you feel like you earned that day of climbing prague hills, but it’s flavorful and filling. I went to Lavicka on one of my last nights in Prague after sampling a few other restaurants– I have to say, the food I ate was pretty darn good. Scratch that– the goulash with those lovely bacon flavored dumplings soaking up that beef gravy– was pretty darn good. I’ve had better beer in this city and better apple streudal(not bad, not great), but the goulash was on point. Wait staff was kind of meh as far as service goes but that’s been the rule rather than the exception in Prague. Bring a book or some good company and you’ll be fine.

Lovely food, great choice and quality. The garden is beautiful and quiet and invites for longer stays. I especially loved the grilled goatcheese on bulgur! And the fresh mint tea. Annother recommondation is the pineapple ravioli with raspberry sorbet. I highly recommend the restaurant!

Went twice to this place while I was in Prague for 3 days… very good food and prices. The goulash was amazing as was the tomato soup. Pay attention while going to it, you might miss it even though it is lit quite well.

Czech cuisine makes good power food before 3 hour workshops. I ordered potato salad and beef sirloin in cream sauce with cranberries(referred to as candle sauce) and Carlsbad dumplings. Potato salad is a traditional Czech celebration food. It’s often a special treat during Christmas and each person swears their recipe is the best. Studded with cubed peas and carrots, this was potato salad at its finest. The sirloin shredded easily, the sauce was divine, and the dumplings(!). I thoroughly enjoyed this meal and strongly recommend visiting this restaurant.
