In one sense we wanted this to be a 5. It is an absolute gem that surrounds with nature. Definitely off the beat and path of the tourist traps. The setting is magical, especially in the evening as the sun is setting and the trees come to life with hundreds of birds chirping away. Off in the distance the church steeple reflects the magical light of a setting sun and it is surrounded by lush green forest. We sat outside in the patio area to take all this in. Our waitress was extremely helpful and did everything to help us understand the menu even though her English was very limited. I tried the ribs given that it was one of the Chef’s specialities. Nicely arranged on a large wooden platter, with generous portions of pickles, cold peppers and some good size rib chucks. The BBQ sauce was tasty and the ribs were tender and juicy. I did feel there was a bit too much fat left on the bones but other than that, wonderful! We also had the pork tenderloin. It was nicely grilled but the pieces were a little tough(end pieces). The green beans were very well done. Cooked nicely with a bit of a crunch and the speck added great flavour. The portion size was very impressive as well. Some aspects were outstanding. The ambiance, the ribs, the green beans and the service. Sadly the pork was a little less spectacular which led to a 4 rating. We would definitely return to try some of the their other dishes.

Very nice family restaurant. We go often with the kids and dog. The food is very good, kind of updated Czech cuisine. A good selection of appetizers, entrees, sides and desserts. The ice cream with warm plums is yummy! Indoor play area and high chairs available for the kids. Menus are available in English too. Outdoor seating available during warm weather. We can walk here from our house and it’s one of our favorites.
