Fantastic performance. Their rendition of Don Juan was both funny and really brought the story to life.

While some of you may get this idea that I’m just a big drunk when I travel, that’s completely not true. I become a bit of a culture vulture when I’m out of the U.S. of A. Museums are usually my go to spots, but when in Praha, one must see a puppet show. Not just a boring puppet show, but marionette style. What so unique about this? well, Mozart especially composed for Prague«the opera of operas» — Don Giovanni. In 1787, Don Giovanni premiered at the Stavovské Theatre which Mozart personally conducted. The National Marionette Theatre takes this exceptional opera and presents it in stylish costumes and stage performance marionettes. It’s performed in a unique architectural space, art deco style(read: old theater with very old, uncomfortable wooden seats built for skinny people) Since they want to stay authentic to the original, the whole thing is done in Italian. While I think Italian is like love music to the ears, I can’t understand a thing. So, listen with your heart and if you’re bored, they do sell alcoholic beverages in the lobby. * hic *

Puppets! Went to see Don GIovanni here. Bought the tickets online and it was fun! The show is performed with marionettes and the puppeteers give winks at various parts to the audience. I’m a big guy 6’6″ and seating is tight, but so is 99% of the endeavors I do. The clientele leans towards families and children so not a lot of pils drinking here. Overall if you are looking for an opportunity to visit a Czech puppet show you will not be dissapointed.
