Excellent wine place in the great neighborhood of Dejvice-​Bubenec — which definitely worth the detour.
The bar is tiny and cozy: wicker chairs, comfy pillows, wood tables, old paintings and thousands of wine bottles ! The price shall be directly tagged on the bottle so let your eyes get a look around, and pick up your favorite beverage. No hipster/​tendency bar here — you shall come for the authenticity of the place, the smile of the owner and the great wine selection.
My choice always goes to Czech (mainly South Moravian) wines, directly served from the tap. Don’t hesitate to ask the owner’s advice: she will let you try her selection of the day before picking up your own wine.
Best (secret) advice: you can buy the wine in bulk to sip it at home. The owner has got a hidden reserve of plastic bottles and will fill one or two for you before you go. Put it in the fridge and drink it in the coming days (or in one night, it’s up to you), it’s the best quality/​quantity choice ever. For the record, I’m always travelling back to Belgium with 3 or 4 of her wine selection and has never been disappointed :)
Cherry on the cake? Visnak is available! This cherry bubbling beverage is absolutely amazing — sweet, sour, refreshing — and is for sale during the summer season, when the cherries grow. Hard to get out of the place after 3 glasses of it, especially knowing that I cannot bring it home because of the ongoing fermentation and the risk of suitcase explosion … True story !
