Plaza Alta Hotel

Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb des Stadtkerns, jedoch mit den Straßenbahnlinien 14,12 und 20 innerhalb von 10 min erreichbar. Außerdem ist die Metrohaltestelle in 5 Gehminuten entfernt.
Das Zimmer ist gut ausgestattet, großes Bett, Telefon, Fernseher, WC und Bad getrennt, großer Kleiderschrank. Im Grunde alles was man für einen kurzen Aufenthalt benötigt war vorhanden. Das Zimmer ist schon etwas abgewohnt gewesen, jedoch war es sehr sauber. Mich störte lediglich das laute Türknallen am morgen. Ansonsten ist es nicht wirklich sehr hellhörig.
Das Frühstück…, hier gab es nur wenig Auswahl für Vegetarier, das Müsli eher lieblos, nur zwei Sorten von Marmelade, bei der sich die Servicekraft nicht sicher war ob es gelatinefrei ist oder nicht. Somit blieb mir immer nur Salat zum Frühstück und Honig. Als Brot gab es Miniaufbackbrötchen und traditionelles Tschechisches Gebäck (Süße Hefeteigtasche mit Marmeladenfüllung).
Der Kaffee war ausgezeichnet, hier steht ein Kaffeevollautomat zu Verfügung der Espresso, Cappuccino, Kaffee sowie Kakao macht. Ebenso kann man sich zwischen etlichen Teesorten entscheiden. Eine Saftbar gibt es auch (war jedoch eher Wasser mit Sirup).
Alles in allem gut für einen kurzen Aufenthalt oder ein Wochenendtrip nach Prag aber auch nicht mehr.
Personal war zwar hilfsbereit aber etwas unterkühlt.
Einen Pluspunkt bekommt das WiFi, es ist super schnell und überall im Hotel verfügbar.

For a hotel that’s not exactly walking distance from Praha 1, this hotel was very pleasant for our stay.
Though I will say that we did not pay close to the going rate, thanks to a sweet online deal booked months ahead of time, this hotel was a surprising mix of luxury and the line right before it gets so fancy that it sickens you.
The rooms are HUGE and clean. And the attached restaurant has a pretty amazing breakfast that you should eat as much as possible at. If you’re eating their at night, go for the Czech dishes and not the American ones. Partially because you don’t want to be the guy eating chicken tacos in CR. That’s just weird.
However, the best part of this hotel is the staff. They are incredibly friendly, helpful, and fluent in many languages. Use them for your Euro to Crowns conversion as much as possible and have them book your taxis into town and to the airport. Not only will this help you not get scammed, but it will be the best price possible.

Can’t recommend this hotel highly enough! Nice, clean, and the price was a great value for my holiday money, friendly and knowledgeable staff, good food and excellent rooms. The hotel is situated slightly outside of the city centre; however a tram stop just across the road will take you directly there. The tram tickets are available at the reception desk. Would definitely stay here again if I go back to Prague!
–The rooms are spacious and very clean, with a minibar and television with several different language stations.
–The restaurant in the hotel was Mexican style in Prague’s Plaza Alta.
–Don’t be scared by the location — as others have noted, there are trams that depart from a corner and bring you, literally within minutes, to the heart of it all.
