Very nice place– good cakes, decent coffee and good tea. Often full or reserved. It’s better to call in advance to confirm the closing hours. I would definitely recommend this place for an afternoon snack, coffee or brunch(served until 2pm).

Slagr is one of the first cafes I came to in Prague. It’s very charming and inviting. Especially in the evening if you’re getting a coffee and dessert. There’s a case filled with yummy looking cakes and you should definitely try a piece(or three I mean no one is going to judge you) and a coffee of your choice. They also have brunch, but I never tried this so I can’t really speak to that. If that’s what you’re looking for though then I’m sure this place wouldn’t hurt trying.

After traveling 20 min to this place, we found it closed. It was 8pm and the owner was closing his doors, refusing to serve us. The sign on the door indicated that they were open until 10pm.

Incredibly rude staff. We made an effort to seek out this place and arrived at 8:30 only for a male staff member to rudely speak to us saying that they are shut. I was wondering if it was a mistake on our end but even the hours on the door said they close at 10PM. While waiting for our über outside the place, we then noticed that the same male staff allowed other local Czech customers inside when he previously claimed that they were closed for the night! The café wasn’t even full and we really just wanted desserts to cap off the night. I simply don’t understand this kind of discrimination. I’ll take my tourist dollars elsewhere.

It’s 8:38 pm and the owner just shut the doors on us claiming that he’s closed for the night. The hours clearly say they are open until 10pm. What gives?!?

This place is a delight. So cute, so quaint, so yummy. I was brought here on a getting to know you date, and it was the perfect place. With wonderful comfy chairs, perfect tables and a wonderful selection of goodies, it is a wonderful a place to hang out, chit chat and listen to wonderful old French tunes they play. Also, they have brunch, and as an American, this warms my heart

I can definitely recommend this place: good coffee, nice breakfast options(although on the simpler side: bacon and eggs and the like…), old jazz playing as if in a French movie. Really nice comfortable furniture to crash in. Nice dimmed light atmosphere.
