Dostihové závodiště Velká Chuchle

This racecourse is one of those right places where to go if you are in Prague and you don´t know what to do on Sunday. Horse races are from April to June and From the end of August till October. They are almost every Sunday and usually start at 2pm.
It´s at the edge of Prague but it´s easy to get there. You can choose public transportation or train. You will get there by train from the Main railway station in 13 minutes and from Smíchovské railway station in only 5 minutes so it´s really not far. By bus from stop Smíchovské nádraží (Smíchovské railway station) in 10 minutes.
It´s ideal for everybody and it´s perfect for Sunday family trip. There are sometimes some special events (like training of police horses or fireman show, etc.). The refreshment is kind a overpriced but it´s not so bad. But don´t expect any good quality food. It´s more like average.
And don´t forget to bet on horses. You don´t have to but it´s always more fun if you hace something in a stake. You stand there, shout at riders and there is a little bit of adrenalin. But don´t ruin yourself :-)
