Steakoholics, watch out — a nice new steakhouse in town, with the Argentinian chef Sergio Guerros and master bartender Josef Zelenka(you might remember him from Tretter’s)! Yes, it is located approximately 20 minutes from Prague downtown, in Hrncire district, Prague 4, but they offer a nice spacy parking lot, so no worries … It is the experience worth the travel! You will enter and you will be immediately embraced by wonderful smells and a very cozy Latin American atmosphere. And there is a big open grill at the end of the ground floor room, with a chef who checks every steak and tenderize it with his strong fist. Yes, it is a bit of a show for tourists, but nevertheless, we liked it. The question mark might be a fountain in the middle of the ground floor room, yes, it is a bit of a kitsch, so please follow my recommendation and don’t look at it when you are there Very good tapas: Chorizo crepinet at 95 Kc, a nicely spiced«jitrnice». Steaks are delicious, I could tell you. Close to U.S. quality, hahaha! 1) Ojo de Bife Aberdeen Angus Argentina(Rib Eye/CZ: Hovezi vysoky rostenec) 250g at 395 Kc, THEHIGHLIGHTOFOURLUNCH, 2) Vacio Black Angus(Flank Steak/CZ: Hovezi pupek) 200g at 285 Kc. 3) Cerdo Iberico Con Jeres Pedro Jimenez(Grilled Pork Chop with Chestnut Purée And Pedro Jimenes’s Wine Sauce) at 475 Kc. Salsa houbova and Salsa jalapenos at 45 Kc, nice fresh salads. Red meat could be nicely paired with a red wine by glass«Viu Manent Estate Collection Reserva 2011, Calchagua Valley, Chile, Carmenere» at 109 Kc. Suitable for parties and celebrations.
