The final resting place of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk — The Father of the Modern Day Turks. I have been here quite a few times now. I think 3 times total. It is a nice complex and getting to see the guards marching is a treat. It houses a nice exhibition of the fight against invaders & has some nice autos that belonged to Ataturk from back in the day. If you’re in Ankara… this is what you have got to see.

A tribute to modern Turkey’s indespensible man. You can see the changing of the guard and soldiers on guard who won’t flinch a muscle. Many of Ataturk’s personal effects are here. He is buried beneath the main building.

Everytime i go to Ankara, I always stop by Anitkabir to pay tribute to Ataturk. It never disappoints me and i feel great satisfaction everytime I leave here.
