‘Discovered’ this shop on my way home, as I walked through Maltepe Mahalle. Backlit honeycomb adjacent to the entrance caught my attention. (I thought it was a lighting fixture!) I noticed lots of delicious and tantalizing food items within the brightly lit store. My friendand I entered a foodie amusement park!
Besides ceviz tatlisi, almond cookies and ceviz socuk (walnut sausage) there were display cases full of cheese, specialty butter, grains, and olives. In addition there were TONS of cartons of eggs! Besides quality kuruyemis, don’t miss the cheese stuffed peppers in the back as well as the lokum in the front of the store. I’m definitely returning!
