The four of us came for dinner from our hotel located at the Ataturk international airport. We’re still wearing our travel clothes as we just arrived from San Francisco, 12 hour nonstop flight. The taxi drops us off. We enter. Uh oh, we’re feeling under dressed as this’s a fine dining restaurant. Wait staff in tuxedos. No matter. We’re here. One person speaks fluent English. The menu is in both Turkish and English. We had a great dinner. Beyti is known for its grilled lamb. And Mr. Beyti was there the night we ate there. Grilled lamb — kabobs, rack of lamb, chops, leg of lamb, etc. Our dinner plates were constantly replaced. We had the kabobs, the lamb chops, and the rack of lamb. Cooked perfectly with the right amount of spices. We finished dinner with Turkish coffee and the wheat coated fried cheese square shaped dessert which is also a Baklava, but not what we Americans know Baklava to be. Delicious. We had a couple of starters which I can’t recall now that’s two weeks later as I’m writing this review. The restaurant is three stories. Dignitaries and celebrities have eaten at Beyti. The interior is like the old Ottoman Turkish architecture and motifs. Lots of dark wood. It was a 10 minute taxi ride back to our airport hotel.

Decided to have dinner here on Sunday night with our group of 5. Our group took an Über here. Upon entry, loved the ambiance inside, but they led us to the lit shaded patio for dinner. I loved it. Although it was evening, shaded and fans were blowing, husband still found it a bit warm(I think he’s suffering from meat sweats; haha!). I thought the patio was comfortable. We were greeted quickly. One member of our party speaks Turkish, so he did all the ordering. We started with a bottle of Red Turkish wine, «Selection». Very Good; tasted similar to a Pinot Noir. For starters, we had a variety of salads & Feta. Good and needed because we were about to eat some meat! For my entrée, I had the Yogurtlu Kebap. Kebap on Pita Bread(big cubes of it), w/Tomatoe sauce & Yoghourt. Delicious. There were several different meat slices, but I loved the thinly sliced pieces. The food is served in an impressive copper dish & top and they remove the top when placing in front of you. I wanted to finish this, but I had to leave a little room for dessert. Husband ate the whole thing. Highly recommend. For dessert, I tried the Baklava and Firin Sutlac(Rice Pudding). Rice Pudding was Very Good and the Baklava was heavenly(I have had Baklava like this before, but it was homemade by a friend). Service was attentive, too. A delicious meal & fantastic ambiance.

What a beautiful and perfect restaurant to end our Istanbul trip. Just 15 mins away from the airport, this restaurant has seen its share of dignitaries and celebrities. The food is traditional Turkish — great grilled meats and salads. Starter dips are solid. For dessert, we had a highly recommended chicken dessert — which was creamy, delicately sweetened and oddly delicious.

This is one of the best restaurants i have been in Istanbul. The food and service are both excellent. We have tried numerous appetizers and entres recommended by our server who was very friendly and everything we tried was top notch. It is a little pricy but it is worth it. Mr Beyti(the longtime owner) stopped by our table to personally ensure that everything was fine. I highly recommend Beyti.

Beyti is one of the best, for most people, it is the king of Turkish cuisine! It Presents the authentic Ottoman Turkish dishes, Beyti is a long time favorite eatery in the city. Inspired by Ottoman and Turkish architecture, the interior decoration is a modern replica of traditional mosques, palaces, courtyards.
