Absolutely fucking amazing breakfast. I recommend all Unilocalers to hit it up for their next lazy weekend breakfast and I can’t wait to point my couchsurfers in this direction! They serve amazing menemen (you won’t forget this) with the usual scramble of eggs, green peppers, tomatoes, and eggs. Plus they have an incredible kuymak, a Black Sea delight of special cheese and butter, great on bread. The four of us split 1 menemen and 1 kuymak pan, it was more than enough for us, we were stuffed. In fact, I didn’t eat lunch and I don’t feel like eating dinner either, hahahah!
You’ve probably realized by now that going out for breakfast isn’t really a thing in Turkey, so this is an oasis for the weary traveler (or breakfast-​obsessed American). If you find yourself in Kadikoy meandering around wishing there was a good hole in the wall for breakfast, you have found your target.
Under normal circumstances I would never go out for breakfast (nothing beats Turkish breakfast at home), but this is the ONE exception I’m willing to make. Try itttt!
