My complements to the owners as they have created the epitome of what it means to be an Italian Gelato shop — and this is amidst Turkey. I had the recent fortune of spending ten days in Istanbul and this small shop was one of the(non-historic site) highlights of the trip. Five of us were visiting from the U.S. and were being shown around by our Turkish friend. The shop has a variety of flavors and the gelato tastes very fresh. I am always impressed by the cream that is used in Europe — it makes everything, dairy based, incredible. I had a chocolate based flavor that was rich with both the cream I mentioned before as well as strong hints of cocoa. The waffle cone was fresh and had a sweetness to it. Admittedly, the waffle cone is one of the better ones in the world, but not unique to Cremeria — the gelato however is — and it is the combination that makes this a stop worth making whether a native or international visitor.
