I was taken here by my girlfriend, hidden away, just off Istikal Caddesi, you don’t feel that you’re in the city at all, they have a great variety of drinks available & quite a decent menu, but it is the atmosphere that really makes it stand out from other places, slightly pricer than most places, but well worth it. A hidden gem!

This is one of the rare speakeasy Café/restaurants in Istanbul that offers a peaceful backyard with a beautiful garden.

I truly loved having dinner at this place when I was in Istanbul! I’m glad that I found out about it on Unilocal because otherwise I would have never found this gem. They have a huge terrace and it’s a great and laid back atmosphere. Try the lentil salad ;) SO good!

Very lovely restaurant! Had a nice evening in the yard with my friend. The food were all lovely might be waiting a little too long between courses but not really complaining with the ambience and the cats. No waiting time on sunday night but probably need to make reservation during weekdays. Recommend for a date night:)

Istanbul’s hidden oasis, Limonlu Bahçe(Lemon Garden) is truly an amazing chill out zone in the middle of the city where you can rest under the shadow of the lemon trees. The lemonade is also great, very fresh and sweet. Also ideal for breakfasts, lunch, dinner. Good location, but a bit hard to find. Nevertheless it’s still worth to visit. Cocktails and Turkish wines are also offered.

Almost walked past it. Looks like a residential entrance. Walk in, follow the signs. And after a 3 floors down; Voila! You are there. Very nice patio with a cosy /modern look to it. My favorite restaurant in Istanbul ambiance wise. Great Cocktails, even the cocktails without alcohol are truly amazing. Must admit that because of another review we just had lost of entrees and a desert. So didn’t really look at main courses. I read something about posh yuppie folk, which I disagree with. It is definitely not alternative, put not posh either. Worth going here and checking it out. Service was good, but became worse towards the end. Longest we had to wait was 10 minutes to order something, but was busy and did arrive to our table fast.

Havre de paix au beau milieu d’Istanbul. L’entrée est très discrète, mais né vous y fiez pas !

A bit hard to find, but once you make your way through all the staircases, you will be amazed. Way below the street level you’ll find yourself in a beautiful open-air garden with a great atmosphere. It is buzzing with people, you can eat there(I didn’t, so I can’t tell you what to expect) and you can enjoy cocktails that are extremely tasty. It’s not quite cheap, but considering the beautiful surroundings and the quality of the cocktails, the price is definitely okay. The only thing I didn’t really like was the clientele. A lot of posh yuppie folk. Well, maybe some will like that. I didn’t. But it didn’t matter anyway: the Limonlu Bahce is as beautiful a piece of urban cocktail garden as you will find anywhere, I guess.
