Good place with decent food. I had the mixed grill and found the kofta kebab to be a little dry, but I loved the lamb and chicken!

This was the worst food experience we have had during our stay, compared with the price. Service was actually pretty OK, but food was bad. We ordered spaghetti bolognese, shis chicken, beef stew and chicken filet. Big portions but quality disappointing and tasteless. They could try some of the many spices they’re selling just around the corner.

Great place, good food and drinks, nice decoration, most languages menu, a bit expensive.

This place is delicious! We wandered by hungry after a long day of travel– they are all highly hospitable! The bread and hummus are some of the most delicious I’ve ever had. The black plum stew was also very flavorful– I’d love the recipe. Though there are SO many places in Istanbul, I’d be happy to return. Free WiFi! And gorgeous charming outdoor street café area.

Right in a tranquil alley off the main street, housed in a renovated Ottoman House, this stylish restaurant was split into many different rooms. The cracking stairs and wooden walls lead the way to the cosy rooms where the dinner is served. Streetside tables are perfect settings for candlelit dinner. On the roof terrace, a nice view of Sultanahmet can be observed. A wide range of different options from international cuisine to seafood specialities, from pastas to salads. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff.

A wee bit of opulence in the center of the city, Mozaik was a perfect place to sit outside and watch the Sultanhamet revelers stroll past. The setting was completely picturesque and the swanky atmosphere ran through everything from the food presentations to the bathrooms. As it was our first night in Istanbul, we really had no clue what to expect. The menu was completely massive as were the portion sizes, so after stuffing our faces with some of the best pita and hummus we had on the trip, we dove into massive, vegetable filled salads and mains. It certainly catered more to tourists than locals and the heavily applied charm factor was a bit over the top at times(as were the prices) but I only needed to look around me to learn that this is truly one of the best options in the area.
