My buddy took me here when I arrived straight from the airport … He ordered a fair amount of what I can only describe as diabolically delectable Turkish Tapas… This place is taking the fresh locally caught treasures of the sea and making high culinary art with it… I wish I had taken some pictures but everything was too good and before I knew it was in my mouth… sorry about that

Wer ein gutes authentisches Restaurant jenseits der Touristenpfade sucht, sollte herkommen. Die Lage ist etwas abgelegen, lässt sich aber gut mit einer Bosporos-Tour verbinden. Mittags ist es sehr ruhig und man hat einen tollen Blick aufs Wasser. Preise sind echt fair. Absolute Empfehlung!

A unique restaurant that serves up a vast variety of seafood mezes. They have a very unique selection that plays on the diverse Turkish cuisine. Try the «balik kokorec» if you are in the mood for kokorec in a fish restaurant. Many cured and sauced varieties of fish will lure you in and satisfy anyone who is feeling adventurous. Arguably one of the best seafood restaurants in Istanbul. This place has been a favorite business dinner destination as well as taking your whole family over the weekends. I am convinced that they have a «per head» pricing scheme.

My favorite seafood restaurant in Istanbul! You should try all the cold and hot meze’s (tapas) you cannot find anywhere. Fish manti, fish pizza, fish kokorec, fish fajita rocks :) You can pay only with cash, so do not rely on your credit card:) Prices are yet very reasonable, so enjoy the night:) friendly staff will help you for it…

Great sea food, amazing variety of mezzes, fine service. But, zero atmosphere, no music, terrible lighting and a constant sound of over a hundred people talking mixed with he buzzing of fluorescent bulbs above. Bad choice for a romantic night out, good if you are a crowded bunch and want to eat good stuff for not too much money. Plus, you can be as loud as you wish :)

My favorite restaurant in all of Istanbul, even living here 4 years!
i’m a vegetarian but even so, this fish restaurant is my favorite in all of istanbul because of its amazing mezzes and wonderful atmosphere/service. particular favorites are the pilaki beans, eggplant in yogurt, and all their salads.
since they have no menu, it’s a little tricky for foreigners to navigate. i would suggest you ordering the set menu, which is basically course after course of cold/hot mezzes followed by a main fish dish then dessert and fruit all accompanied by raki/beer/wine — a traditional turkish outing and a wonderfully neverending meal!
i would avoid going during super busy times (saturday evenings/sunday afternoons) so you can enjoy your meal at a leisurely pace. if you do go in the evenings, call ahead for a reservation. also, they only accept cash. plan on roughly 100tl/person.
