Nice spot good view etc etc but it’s a brewery with a multi page menu. Most of the items they don’t carry(at least not as of right now that I’m writing this) and what I thought to be a pint of beer turned out to be bottle. Not much of a «taps». You have better luck. As for food, too generic therefore didn’t try. I can get mini burgers, pasta, etc(basically anything non Turkish) back home. When in Rome…

Ok, so this bar is really overly priced but the view is gorgeous. The craft beer list is LONG, but it always seems that none of the beers advertised are ever available. I come with this expectation and have always had a good time. It’s out of the way and I’ll usually be there if friends have organized a work happy hour. I don’t like that it’s not at all close to a metro line and the seaside road is notorious for having terrible traffic after work. So, for these reasons it’s not my favorite place.

The atmosphere is a pleasant but the food and drink are way overpriced for what you’re getting.

When I first arrived in Istanbul in the summer of 2011 Taps was a casual brew pub with a great view of the Bosphrous. It has gone way down hill since then. The only thing it still has is the view. The variety of brews has been dramatically cut along with the quality. In my last trip I was served a burger with a piece of latex glove in it. Not a thrilling experience. The staff did not handle the issue well. While i ate nothing that evening the bill arrived with the beer tab, not what I would expect from a well run establishment. It was embarrassing as I had invited several colleagues to have a couple of rounds and a bite to eat. Suffice it to say it was a complete disaster and TAPS is now tapped out and never to be visited by me nor anyone I know.
