The House Cafe

House Café ist eine Restaurant Kette in Istanbul. Obwohl alle Restaurants fast den selben Standard haben, gefällt mir dieser hier in Ortaköy am meisten. Erstens ist es sehr groß und liegt direkt am Bosphorus, im Herzen Istanbuls.
Hier kann man wirklich zur jeden Stunde was essen, ob es Frühstück, Mittag oder Abends ist. Auf der Karte befinden sich verschiedene Sorten von knackigen Salaten, Pizzen, Fleisch und auch fitmacher Alternativen.
Nach langer Zeit war ich wieder hier zum Frühstück und am Wochenende kriegt man Frühstück auch bis in die späteren Stunden. Wir hatten einen Frühstücksteller und dazu hatte ich Menemen (Rührei mit Paprika, Tomate) mit Sucuk und Käse.
Der Service ist recht flott und freundlich, obwohl es zu manchen Stunden sehr voll ist und schwieriger ist für den Service mit zu halten. Bei warmem Wetter ist die Terrasse auch offen und damit natürlich ein Traum mit wunderbarem Ausblick auf das Wasser.

Love this place!!! Stayed next door at house hotel and we went everyday during our stay. Such an awesome place to have drinks and everything on the menu is very good. The views at sunset are fabulous! I love the mixed crowd… young, old, trendy, not so trendy, dressy, casual, couples, families… The whole scene just works! It’s a must!!!

Choice of cooling summer drinks and tasty snacks and a vibrant atmosphere make this a must visit. A great place to catch up with friends.
High prices takes a star off if you’re looking for a value for money meal. The mini lahmaçuns are a modern take on the old favourite but less than satisfying.
Service found to be average for Istanbul standards.

Crazy prices, terrible hosting. What else can I say. Waiter forgot my friend’s order. I ordered sirloin steak, the plate did not look charming. Just the steak and mashed potato. I had to ask and wait for the steak knife, because they did not even think about giving one when I order the steak. Is that what I should get for a 30 dollar steak? I don’t think so.

To be frank, we’re at a total loss to understand why it is super popular since the prices are so high. On the contrary, it’s a fact that as it is one of the top-​notch cafes, it also became a successful restaurant brand in the city.

Sehr gute Atmosphäre, gute Küche und Kurzweil bietet The House in Ortaköy. Alleine der Standort bietet eine sehr angenehme Mischung aus Trubel (der Platz davor und der Anleger der Fähre) und relativer Ruhe durch die Bauweise der Aussenanlage. Genau das richtige, um zwei, drei Stunden die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Das zugehörige Hotel ist überigens eine sehr schöné Alternative zu den standardisierten gehobenen Häusern!
Und wer Glück hat, kann am hauseigenen Anleger festmachen.

My, what a fun place to chill with some friends over cocktails, nice food, and fun atmosphere.
It’s unique enough and large enough to boast a few different kinds of spaces. So for example there’s the smoking patio, and indoor area where it may even be quiet enough and close enough to the hotel lobby to accomodate 1 person reading a book.
Regarding the view – as others have mentioned there really is a nice vista – very close to the bridge over the Bosphorous

What a find. Great breakfasts and reasonable prices. WE shared a huge breakfast with fresh honey, strawberry and lemon jams, cheeses. They also have the best lemonade I’ve had with green apple slices. Terrific view and decent service. Woman next to us had a great salad and we went to another location downtown which had bridal soup (variation of lentil) and a salad. Yummy.
