Its the perfect place to make a stop and feel like home. You can relax in a chair or have a room, watch a movie or watch the match. Its better if you have more time to enjoy the 2 floors of food :)

Skip the HSBC lounge and head to the back where the newly renovated 2 floors of happy booze and food awaits you with roaming free neck and shoulder masseuse. Private rooms, yes, a real bed, you can catch some zzz’s in. Real food, they cook in front(manti) of you, various types of fares, desserts, teas, coffees, drinks, and of course showers. What is nice is the size of the place, the convenience to a hotel and central to all the terminals. What isn’t, is the various check in receptionists for the shower, for the room, if they don’t feel like it, they will put you on the bottom of the waiting list. So, stroke those little despots ego. They’d rather do their nails, pick their teeth, smooth some mascara on than give a flying hoot about you. This puts all UA lounges to shame. Even the newly renovated Heathrow Terminal 2 one.

This Turkish Airline Lounge is in contention for the best business class lounge in the world! Normally, I view a lounge as a place to get a quick bite or rest between flights; however, this lounge is worth arriving early for. Let’s just start with the ridiculous amenities. AMENITIES: –pool table –virtual golf game with real clubs –other arcade games –grand piano –TV room –showers FOOD: –Something like 4 full buffets with delicious pide, mezze, and other items hot & cold –Multiple cook to order stations –A chef making individual dumplings. –Dessert stations. BEVERAGES: Basically there’s a set of bar carts about every 5 meters in the lounge. These tastefully appointed carts have a pretty solid mid-shelf liquor collection(think Woodford Reserve bourbon). Wine stations everywhere with Turkish and international selections(sadly no sparkling). Fridges stocked with beer, juice, and soft drinks. A couple coffee bars. Spread over 2 floors, I cannot imagine having a bad experience in this lounge. It was worth arriving early! Access with business class tickets, Star Alliance Gold(with 1 guest) or probably some other schemes for locals.

This is probably the best lounge in the entire world!!! everyone should experience this once in there life there is just no other lounge that has an amazing staff and incredible amenities such as showers, pool table, cinema, massages and a spectacular all you can eat buffet. There unfortunately there is no 1 day pass fee for this lounge you must be departing on a Business Class flight or be an Elite or Elite plus card holder,

This is the BEST lounge I was ever able to join. From Asia to Europe to Americas this beats everything. Great various food-courts where the food has actual taste. Kids have special playing corners. Staff is tremendously helpful in any situation. If you have the chance then enjoy the time you got before flying away.

4.0 stars I am lucky to have been to many first and business class lounges around the world, and the Turkish Airlines Lounge here is among the best business class lounges that I’ve ever been. It was very crowded when we were there but I didn’t have an issue finding seating because of the large size of the lounge. The sheer size of the lounge(2 floors) and number of things to entertain visitors were extremely impressive. Access is available for Star Alliance Business class travelers, Miles&Smiles Elite and Elite Plus(+1 guest/+family), and Star Alliance Gold members(+1 guest) while traveling on Star Alliance airlines. Food and Drink: Lounge food was provided by DO&CO, which does a great job with in-flight catering. Here, they had multiple stations on the top and lower floors of the lounge, which showcased Turkish and international foods. In general, food was fresh and cooked nicely. I visited the lounge later in the evening, and it seems that food options are much more limited after 9 – 10 pm when some stations close down. There were several stations for beverages around the lounge and alcohol selection was varied. There was a nice self-serve selection of Turkish wines and international liquors. Entertainment: I would consider the Turkish lounge to be the BEST in providing things to do. There is a movie theater, model race car track, PS4s(might have been an Xbox), virtual golf, a piano, a pool table, and TVs. Downstairs, there is also a wandering masseuse who gives free massages, although I didn’t get to try it out. Additionally, there are shower rooms and relaxation rooms. I waited for a shower for quite a while, over an hour. As a tip, there are showers upstairs and downstairs. You can try to shorten your wait by getting an extra copy of your boarding pass to wait-list for a shower at both floors. The relaxation rooms have some pretty strict entry criteria: you must have a layover of 4−7hrs and be in Turkish Business class or Elite Plus(Star Gold members do not gain access). There are also many private lockers to keep baggage, but these were all full when I tried to use them. Overall: I would say this might be the best business class lounge in the world. The food is great, and entertainment is plentiful. The only downside I can think of is the crowds as things were constantly in use or taken(regards to food). I would recommend going downstairs instead of upstairs, since there are better food and entertainment options. It also seems less crowded. Next time you are in IST and have access to this lounge, be sure to check it out!

I think someone marked this as closed during renovations? This place is freaking amazing, and is the nicest lounge I’ve ever been in. It’s two floors, top one is more loungey and has a player grand piano and pool table. Bottom floor is like a garden oasis, and has sports on large tvs, a virtual golf game(with real clubs– like a batting cage but virtual?). They have a wide set of turkish appetizers, various varieties of pide, some mains(looked like more or less what they serve on flights– chicken and beef), a dessert bar, a tea station, and more.

This is the best business lounge I’ve been in. The food was great and the luggage storage is a huge perk for those that want to stretch their legs without worrying about dragging their luggage around. If you’re not flying business, I still think it’s worth buying your way on if you have a long layover.

I have been here for the past 5.5 hours(I have an 8 hour layover in IST). In that time, I have had some amazing olives, decent mezze and pide, taken a fantastic shower, and had some respectable bourbon(woodford reserve). Sadly the single beer option is the shitty Turkish beer Efes(aka f this crap). Thankfully they’ve got plenty of adequate liquor and wine options to make up for that. So while 8 hour layovers suck ass, they’re not so bad when you can hang out in a place like this. Best star alliance lounge I’ve been in. United clubs are complete shit in comparison.

Ok, maybe a 3.7– yes it is a nice lounge but the layout is a bit strange while I would not consider it peaceful and quiet as a lounge should be. Lotsa foot traffic all thetime all around. I know u usa centric travelers have crap lounges and this seems like nirvana — but travel in asia can be at a higher level and this TK lounge rates average — CX, TG lounges got them beat and the Japanese airlines are right in there. Happy travels

No time to try everything! Turkish pizza is freshly baked! Turkish sweets are prettier than most pretty girls, coffee stations keep you caffeinated, grand piano plays on its own, grill man makes fresh chicken and meat pie right in front of you! It is huge! Make sure you allow yourself time to get to the gates! Next time plan to check in 5 hours in advance so you can sample all the goods! Internet reception was fantastic!

The Turkish Airlines CIP lounge at Istanbul Ataturk International Airport is located on the departure level near gate 220. The lounge is accessible by first and business class passengers on all Star Alliance flights, Star Alliance Gold members and Miles and Smiles elite members. Star Alliance Gold members and Miles and Smile elite members may invite one guest. Turkish Airlines is one of my favorite airlines and the newly remodeled CIP lounge is definitely one of my favorite lounges as well. This business class lounge is impressive and is better than some first class lounges that I have visited. It’s a massive and beautiful space to rest and relax before or after your flight and I highly recommend you visiting if you are connecting through Istanbul. To enter the lounge, you simply present your boarding pass and credentials to the front desk agent. As your credentials are approved, the gates will open, angels will sing and you will be granted entry into one of the best business class lounges in the world. Okay, there won’t be any angels singing but you will be in awe if it your first time here, as it was mine. The beautiful architecture and ambiance of the Turkish Airlines CIP lounge hits you immediately as you enter the doors. The open air, dome-like rooms created defined spaces to the massive lounge without making you feel confined or claustrophobic. The lounge was beautifully decorated in both modern and traditional Turkish design elements with each section of the lounge different from the last. There was a nice flow to the lounge and each new area invited you to continue exploring the next. Now, the Turkish Airlines CIP Lounge is a topic of much discussion and many people have reviewed it before. Talk to any frequent flier and the most common thing you’ll hear is, «I really liked the Turkish Airlines CIP lounge but it was too crowded.. . « And while that may have been true, Turkish Airlines responded to that complaint by adding a second level to the existing lounge. The second level was completed in February 2014 and increased the size of the lounge by almost 70%. The new addition is located below the primary level and is connected by a beautiful spiral staircase that leads into a garden like space. If you don’t want to haul your luggage around, there are two self-service, luggage storage areas to secure your belongings. The individual lockers are large enough to fit a carry on size bag and can be programmed with your own combination. The other defined areas of the massive lounge included a reading room with a full size billiards table, work areas with iMac computers, movie room with a popcorn machine, enclosed kid’s play room with video games and more dining rooms and food and alcohol stations than I could count. The lounge had plenty of seating options from work and dining tables to lounge chairs and couches. There was a good variety of seating space to allow people to rest and relax or be productive. At the time of my visit, the lounge was approximately 30% full and I did not have a problem finding a table or seat at all. Granted, I was there at 10:00AM on a Sunday so I can’t attest to how crowded it can be during the week. There is no denying how impressive this lounge was but in my opinion, what made this lounge special was the food. Seriously, the food spread was amazing. The food was catered by gourmet catering company, Do & Co, and it did not disappoint. Walking around the lounge, there was no shortage of food or alcohol stations. There were plenty of buffet stations with hot and cold dishes from breakfast items and hot sandwiches to fresh fruit and cold cuts. If you don’t like eating from a buffet bar and want something more«made to order,» you can order from omelette station. Too early for alcohol and want some coffee to pick you up? There was a beverage bar with a wide selection of traditional and Turkish coffees and teas. Got a sweet tooth? There was an entire station dedicated to desserts and other sweet items. Around lunch time, the breakfast bars switched to hot lunch items including grilled meats, pastas, pizzas, sandwiches, soups and other Turkish mezze. Other lounge amenities included day rooms, shower suites, WiFi, computers, printers, universal power outlets, complimentary massages and other entertainment such as a virtual golf simulator, putting green and a micro car race track. Service wise, the lounge was kept clean and there were plenty of attendants bussing dishes and re-stocking the food stations. The lounge was kept a bit on the warm side and they did not make any gate or boarding announcements. But don’t worry, there were plenty of flight information boards around. Overall, I was very impressed with the Turkish Airlines CIP Lounge and I definitely recommend a visit. It was much larger than I expected and(surprisingly) not as crowded as everyone made it out to be.

Yes, this is the best airline lounge I have ever been to, and puts to shame any airport lounge in the US. This place is amazing. sadly since my trip to Istanbul was so short, this was actually the highlight of my trip. But regardless, it is amazing. I will list the many ridiculously amazing things here: 1) Wonderful wonderful food of all types, with different stations and people freshly making food to order. Definitely try the cold eggplant salad thingey and the turkish pizza stuff. 2) Movie theatre! 3) Video game stations! 4) Coffee bar with coffee made to order! 5) Ginormous dessert selection. 6) A place to lock away your luggage(for free) so that you can wander around unhindered 7) Copious amounts of alcohol BESTPLACEEVER!!!

It would be easy to say that this is the best airport lounge I have seen in 25 years of flying around the globe. But it’s hard to describe by how much of a margin. Because nothing I have seen is even close. First of all: it’s big. 1.100 square meters is actually closer to huge. And it easily fits the reported capacity of 339 passengers. It actually needs to. Because even though you have to be a gold status member or carry a business class ticket to enter, the place is usually packed, and it can take a little search to find a seat. The second advantage: the services offered. I don’t know if it’s really a necessity to have a pool table in the lounge, but it is pretty popular. It does make sense to have personnel offer massages, and there are plenty of TV screens to watch. Newspapers and magazines, music services and massage chairs, prayer and conference rooms, showers and relaxation rooms, a play room for children and an infant room — there is really nothing you might miss. But the biggest plus is clearly the food offered. This is just incredible. Honestly, you don’t get better pide anywhere in Istanbul than in this lounge. It’s simply great, and people will actually line up waiting for the fresh pide to be pulled from the oven. They have no problem waiting for ten minutes to be the first to pile it onto their plates. It’s almost bizarre. The grill station is almost as great — grilled vegetables, chicken, and — of course — köfte are always fresh off the grill. There is a pasta station that does really tasty penne with tomato sauce and parmesan. A really big meze station with lots of yummy selections. You get turkish delights, all kinds of desserts, there is a huge fruit station, it just never ends. In the morning, be sure to get yourself an omelett. Really well prepared and tasty. Or get yourself a hot sandwich, they are all really good. Cereals, Bircher muesli, honey off the comb, you name it. Coffee selections leave nothing to be desired. First class caffe latte, a Turkish coffee, americano, whatever you want, and if you like you take a plate of Turkish delights along to your table. Of course, the WiFi is free, and flight information is always present. No loud announcements are disturbing your stay, and if you like a little music you can sit down in the back part of the lounge where an automatic grand piano is playing some soft jazz tunes. There are lockers for your luggage, and they even have a paging system. It’s such a great lounge that it’s a good reason to fly through Istanbul — and leave enough time between flights. This is as good as it gets.

Now this is what ALL airline lounges should aspire to be. Every time I am at IST I am reminded that airline lounges in America suck donkey balls. It is a miracle if I get a decent cup of coffee at the United/Star Alliance lounges in America. As my NY-born and bred husband would say, «oy vey»! Baristas making custom-made coffee drinks. Extensive selection of alcohol. Various food stations that cater to all your gluttonous needs(the eggplant dish is to die for). A separate dessert station. A grand piano. Snooker table. Separate play area for the children. A MOVIETHEATER! Numerous sofas where you can lounge and fall asleep. A library. Locker room. RAINSHOWERS!!! Do you hear me? Rain showers in the bathrooms, complete with robes and slippers. And the list goes on… The food is so good that I probably gained 10 lbs from eating in this lounge. Greedy much!?! Take that United Airlines, with your dry week-old muffins and stale bananas! And I have to PAY for alcohol above house wine and beer… after all the business I gave you? I now look for connections via IST just so I can visit this lounge. You will too, if you have been here…

Would you wish your connection was longer to spend more time in an airline lounge? Well, I must say that for the first time in my life my answer would be yes after experiencing this splendid Turkish airline lounge in Istanbul! Just incredible. It’s huge and has different rooms with different purposes. A movie theatre, areas that looks like a bistro, one that looks like a lounge with an automated piano playing. There are stations with chefs preparing fresh hot food, stations with hosted espresso machine, mezze stations etc. And the food was just good and tasty! Here’s a specific link from Turkish airline that gives a bit info but I don’t think it gives it justice: One more reason to go to Istanbul!

This is one of the best airport lounges I’ve been to. As a Star Alliance member, you can get in if you fly with any Star Alliance airlines. The lounge is beautiful and spacious. There are resting/sleeping rooms, cinema room, an area with live piano music. You can even get massage for free. Food is plenty. Turkish sweets, kabob and traditional dip, salad, cheese and nibbles like various nuts and cookies. Always freshly baked bread or turkish flat bread. Great selections of wine, beer and non-alcoholic drinks. Also espresso bar where you can get any kind of espresso drinks and good tea. Free wifi. I don’t think you can ask anything more here. Enjoy the lounge as much as you can!

This lounge is amazing. It’s got great food and amenities, as with most good airport lounges, but what really sets it apart is the architecture/ambiance. It’s absolutely beautiful, with huge windows overlooking the city, cavernous ceilings, intricate modern Turkish latticework, and huge plants that bring in some great greenery. Shower facilities are great– each is like a private home bathroom. The lounge even has its own prayer room w/wudu area within the lounge. And the wudu area even has disposable slippers. The hot food selection is a bit weak– there’s a kabob/panini station that always has lines around lunchtime, and there is one other station where they make pides(Turkish pizza), but not much else for hot foods at lunch time, and they frequently run out of these. Huge cold food and drink selection though(salads and multiple olive bars). They even have a movie theater with and old-timey popcorn machine and comfortable leather recliners. And if you care to do work and don’t have a laptop, there are 8 or so new 22-inch iMacs. This lounge is so much fun that you might even want to build a few extra hours into your layover at IST just to take advantage.
