I worked in Hong Kong for a year about ten years ago and I´m a great Sushi fan ever since(I know it´s not Japan but trust me they got a lot of Sushi there). I eat Sushi at least twice a month and always try new places around once they open. I also travel a lot around Europe for business. My colleagues make fun of me as I prefer to try Sushi places instead of the local cuisine whenever I´m in London, Paris, Zürich, Wherever. So I believe I picked up quite a lot over the years and can tell the difference between a good and bad Sushi restaurant. My wife is from Izmir so we come every year to visit her parents. As much as I love turkish food, after a week or so I´d like to taste something else. This time we took a walk, came across this Restaurant and wanted to give it a try. I didn´t expect much as we ate awful and overpriced Chinese food a year before just around the corner. I was so wrong. Honestly, this is the 2nd best Sushi place I tried in my life and the 1st one was way more expensive and only wins because of the better ambience/presentation of the food. This restaurant did everything right. The rice had perfect temperature, was firm but not sticky, had the right amount of sweet vinegar. The soy sauce had an excellent quality and wasn´t too salty(many restaurants fill up the bottles with some cheap soy sauce). The wasabi was not based on powder or just industrialized paste but really fresh. They make it fresh every day and you can really taste the difference and feel the texture. The Fish was also great. The Service was nice and we had a nice table outside. If you are in Izmir and you want to eat Sushi, I strongly recommend to give this place a try!
