Great hidden gem if you like coffee at all! Be warned that you can’t sit here like other cafés. The owner was extremely nice and helpful to figure out which blends might suit my tastes. Definitely recommend a stop here to grab a bag! Prices are par for the courses, regular bean/pound cost.

I’ve been buying most all my coffee from Richard & Addison Coffee Roasters for over 20 years now, so obviously I’m a huge fan! Delicious coffee beans, fresh out of the roaster(he actually puts the beans on a «half price» shelf if they’re more than a couple weeks out of the roaster — how long do you think those pricey beans at brand«S» have been out of the roaster by the time they’re sitting there for purchase at the local outlet?) The best coffee bean source I’ve ever found, AND the opportunity to support a local independent business — doesn’t get much better than that!

First time coffee bean buyer and I had a great experience. The staff was super friendly and helpful in addition to the beans being delicious. A bit hidden but worth driving to.

I first encountered their name, Addison Coffee Roasters, in Central Market as I was searching for some good mild coffee beans. Curious to find«Addison» was our own, local Addison, TX, I googled, and was pleasantly surprised to hear they are! And they sometimes give tours! Long story short, we «booked» a tour for a group of my friends and I(from all kinds of coffee background: from a home-roaster to occasional coffee drinker). And we were very pleased by each and every individual we have encountered from the business. The lady who I spoke on the phone to plan the tour was very clear, kind, and helpful! Richard, the owner, gave us the tour; he was friendly, very knowledgeable on coffee yet was not snobby, not one bit. The guy that was sitting at the counter when our group walked in had a very warm smile! As for coffee, have various selection. As one Unilocal reviewer said, «down right magical place» with different kinds of coffee source, roastings, process, etc. they also sell loose tea leaves as well. For some of the selection, please refer to one Unilocal reviewer’s picture. I highly recommend to check this place out for coffee drinkers!(Tea smelled amazing too, but I can’t recommend as haven’t tried them yet.)

A downright magical place! You can buy beans to your specifications. Need single-source? Organic? Fair trade? Wet process? You name it, they have it. You can often get coffee that was roasted on the same day. Check out the odd lots for new adventures at low prices. The staff is friendly, super knowledgeable, and personable. They remember me by my car, so they’re ready with suggestions before I even walk in the door. Talk about amazing service! Fair warning: you’ll be ruined for regular coffee once you start buying the good stuff here. It’s powerful stuff.

Friendly, knowledgeable, and they gave me excellent suggestions for cold brew coffee. I’m still a newbie so I can use all the advice I can get. Sumatra was fantastic, I also loved the cinnamon nut cookie coffee, delicious! Picked up some black currant loose leaf tea too; worked well as an iced tea(added local honey to sweeten).

This place is the best place to get fresh, locally roasted coffee for a great price in Dallas. I’ve tried nearly every local roaster in DFW, and this coffee always wins in price and usually at least ties for taste. The coffee is crazy fresh and the company focuses on the quality of the coffee over the appearance or brand. The store is in a business park in Addison, and it is not very big but it is never super crowded. The employees are very friendly and knowledgable and can help you choose a coffee to try. The prices are roughly $ 11-$ 16 per pound(16oz) of coffee, which is a crazy good deal for the quality.(Most local/craft roasted coffees of the same quality are about 12.99 or even more for only 12oz) You can buy in half pounds of fresh coffee, and there are about 20 or more coffees at a time to chose from. They offer single-origin, flavored, and blends of coffee, and you can even buy green coffee beans if you are interested in home roasting. You can buy whole beans if you want but they can also grind it for you if that’s what you prefer. On top of coffee, there is also a wide selection of loose leaf teas and flavoring syrups for sale. If you like coffee and you live in the Dallas area, you should definitely pick up some coffee from Addison Coffee roasters.

Great little shop with a variety of coffee and tea. For 6.50, I got a half pound of a dark Costa Rican blend coffee, which tastes amazing. Not being an expert on coffee by any means(more of a tea person) even I could taste a huge difference between that and the stuff I normally drink. It has so much flavor and I look forward to coming back and trying other ones.

Great find. They roast their own beans on-site. Great beans and blends. A little more expensive than Folgers but less than Starbucks. And what great coffee; morning has become an experience again!

This spot should be known as the Addiction Coffee Roasters. One of the very few local roasters in the area that’s close to Plano. It’s a great place that’s doing justice in the community providing high quality product for us coffee aficionados. Beans are freakin fresh as hell and the taste is epic with each brew I have in the morning. They have a wide variety of selection of beans and it’s pretty ridiculous the type of styles they have but they roast Tuesday and Thursday if you want the fresh ass shit. Having lived in Los Angeles, local roaster was the shit, no exception living in the Dallas, local is really the straight up shit anywhere you are on the planet. Local roasters is always the way to go supporting the local business while getting high quality shit for good prices. How local roaster is to coffee is how beer is to local craft brewery. .

Made our first visit to Addison Coffee Roasters this weekend and it will definitely not be our last. There is no coffee snobbery in this place. They listen to what you like and how you prep your coffee and then make suggestions based on that. The coffee is fantastic and my kids and I even got a tour of the roasting area to check out the cool equipment. We will definitly return to pick up some more of their delicious coffee.

I can’t count how many number of times my fiancé’ and I have been here but this is by far our favorite(the only) place we get our coffee in town these days. It is a hidden gem in Addison and a must-try for any coffee connoisseur! They have friendly and knowledgable staff! They know a lot about coffee! They carry coffee from all around the world that will please your palette ! The aroma of each one of their roasts is amazing. I have never smelled so many amazing coffee choices in one place. I wish they made air fresheners! I was never a big coffee drinker until we found this place. After drinking Addison Coffee Roaster, I drink coffee black! Never thought I would see that in my lifetime. If you have been thinking about checking this place out, what are you waiting for?! Support local businesses!

This place is a hidden treasure for all the coffee geeks in dfw area. They carry roasted and unroasted coffee beans from all the different countries. The guy at the counter is really friendly and will help you decide in picking up the coffee should you need help. They almost always have some free brewed coffee for tasting. This is a pick up only shop. Buy Local Support Local

I wanted better coffee and I wanted to support some place local. Addison Coffee Roasters fits both those to a T. Tiny place up front, but who cares? All those pretty, tasty beans, ready for you to bag up. The folks there are super nice, too. Super nice. I’m not enough of a nut to make it my exclusive coffee shop, there’s just too much good coffee in DFW, but they’re close enough and great enough for me to think twice before shopping anywhere else.

Purchased: 1lb of Ethiopian via recommendation of Roaster Visiting their store front/roasting location in Addison, the smell of coffee roasting permeates the office/warehouse complex. Having purchased the coffee at Central Market, i wanted to visit this location. While coffee is «not» served here, it was great to talk coffee. Helped me with a better understanding of using a French Press @ home. I plan to return.

If you are in search of an indie coffee shop in the Addison area, do know that Addison Coffee Roasters merely offers coffee. The small storefront gives way to a large roasting facility – in a warehouse district, no less – and it provides those who want bulk caffeine with a local option. Driving up, you may wonder, «why can’t I simply just have a cup o’ joe?» They respond to this demand with a nice little stand boasting a couple of their offerings. They source from all over the world, at least regarding coffee-friendly regions, and that is something to be proud of. The products are not on par with some of the bigger cats in the states, i.e. Handsome, Counter Culture, but Dallas has installed some local roots in the coffee scene. Hopefully this continues and eventually shifts the Big D from the corporate suckers of the Bucks.

Don’t be fooled by this crazy office space strip mall location. This little place is roasting up local tasty coffee beans. ACR is available in bulk at Central Market but why do that when you can get it straight from the roasters? They sell a super delicious blend called Symphony blend that’s hazelnut and chocolate and caramel flavored. Amazeballs. For the purists out there, they’ve got some pretty darn amazing BORING regular coffee for you. Support the local, get your roast on.
