Cashier did not greet me upon checking out and proceeded to add an item that was behind her register already to my items. I did not notice the extra item until I was about to leave the store. I returned to the same cashier and explained politely that the item was not mine and that I wanted my money back for it. She rudely told me that she would not refund my money as I didn’t separate my items. The item was not even originally on the conveyer belt. She continued to be rude about it, so I asked to speak with a manager. The manager had a impolite tone as well, but proceeded to give me the refund. Needless to say the entire situation was unnecessary and ridiculous. I am usually a huge fan of the dollar store, but this particular store doesn’t know the meaning of customer service what so ever.

Worst Customer service experience ever. It was like pulling teeth to get assistance with the helium balloons. The associates could not decide who was going to assist. Once one of them came to help, she kept acknowledging they were out of stock but her tone was negative and condescending. It felt as though it was my fault they were out of stock. She even audaciously said «We are getting our stock in today, you can come back later.“3
Then in the process of choosing balloons (with very limited options) the associate left and said she needed to go assist the customer at her register. IN THE MIDDLE OF HELPING ME. Then I had to wait for the other associate and she was just as rude. After we were situated with the balloon picks, the second associate asked «do you want anything else?!» About 4 times as if we burdened her.
It was ridiculous thankfully the store is so inexpensive otherwise not worth the drive or service.

It’s a Dollar Tree. I go here frequently and it looked nice at first and maybe it still does I’m just used to it. I had one ‘meh’ experience when I needed a balloon filled. I checked out and paid for it but instead of making the next six people in line wait the 15 seconds it takes to fill one balloon the girl at the register took care of EVERYONE that kept coming in line first and then finally came over after 15+ minutes to fill the damn balloon! I had four toddlers with me! Hello??? Some people can’t function! But I will keep going back because it’s cheap, close and it’s a dollar store!

This is a new location so the store is of course new. It use to be another discounted store, that store was over packed, dark and gloomy that I only went there once.
It’s attached to a strip mall but it’s hidden in the back of the parking lot away from the main road (Lake st.).
It’s a typical Dollar Tree, yes everything for a dollar even a nice wall calendar!
One thing they do not have yet to this date is the Sunday Newspaper. I’m a couponer so I need my newspapers at least 3 of them! Until they get this taken care of, I’m going to take my business at the Bensenville location.
