January Yelpy Birthday Bash

Whats a birthday party without cake?! There was plenty of that along with champagne, finger foods, Unilocal tattoos and of course, PARTY FAVORS! How fun! As we registered at the welcome table we were shown our area which was quite large. The place had an abundance of TVs and a DJ playing a mix of old meets new.
Blackfinn impressed me with the setup they had. I would have never expected that from from them. This is usually a place I go and pre-​drink at. So didn’t know they could do that! The drinks were a good pour and we were always checked on. I met some new people and really wanted to eat the Olives from Diana D’s drink. I love olives! She even made me really hungry by telling me about some epic Indian and Ethiopian restaurants. Even though I could see myself getting full of the food provided for us, we ordered a flat bread pizza which was quite good.
This would be a good place to dance at if some of the tables were moved. The patio is pretty lengthy and offers a bar. I like the layout and the huge bar area. There’s also a private dining area. I wish I would have met more people that attended, but I think they were scared/​shy. It could have been my breath form the pizza for all I know.

Bears enjoyed socializing with Fances G. and the other Unilocalers that attended the January Unilocaly Birthday Bash, and the appetizers and desserts provided by Blackfinn were very impressive. The bar service was good and the drinks were nicely prepared. We also thought the music was good, but there was no place to dance.
What we had issue with was the indoor atmosphere that was thick with cigarette smoke by 10 PM. It was so bad by then that we had to leave, earlier than we wished, because we were having trouble breathing. I guess we’re accustomed to the nice clean air at Dallas establishments where smoking isn’t allowed indoors. I sure wish Addison would do likewise. There is simply nothing good about cigarette smoke.

I enjoyed such an awesome birthday with Unilocalers and can’t wait to return for February! Blackfinn rolled out the red carpet for all the January babies. With a complimentary glass of champagne to start, Unilocal guests were ushered to their designated birthday tables where we received amazing deals, such as $ 1 mimosas and $ 3 martinis. My favorite part of the night was Diana D’s martini with not 3, 4, 5, but 6 olives in her martini. She likes it dirty.
As the night rolled on, cakes were cut and enjoyed and people grooved to the music on the dance floor. All in all, Unilocalers had a Bash and will hopefully return each month to celebrate!
