Subpar food and kind of pricey. Wait staff was nice, but that only goes so far when the food just doesn’t cut it. I don’t think I see myself ever going back here.

Food was only okay. I’ve been to other Spring Creek locations countless times when I used to live in the Metroplex, unfortunately this location is a bit sleepy, crusty, run down and the food was not up to usual quality. I would pass on this Spring Creek location!

To tell you the truth I was actually surprised. I am no fan of chain restaurants and tend to avoid them but I came this particular night with a group. I ordered the brisket plate with a baked potato and meat. I’m not crazy about BBQ sauce and all those other sides they have, mostly because there is either gluten or bacon in them. The amount of meat was just right and the baked potato, although baked in tin foil which I hate, actually had a good baked flavor instead of steamed, which is what you get when you wrap a potato in tin foil and put it in the oven. There are so many BBQ places to try but I’m happy I tried this one, and I know they do a lot of group fundraising events which makes me feel good about them.

I would say the overall bbq was good but not great. I am a bbq snob having been to many places in Texas. I had the brisket and rib plate. The meat fell off the bones and had a good taste. It was lacking in temperature and did not have any unique taste to it. The brisket in my opinion was a better choice. I asked for burnt ends and had a good flavor and bark with the right amount of moisture. The fresh rolls were a great addition. Traveling here at least once a month I could see myself returning. The rib/brisket plate was $ 14 and they allow you to pile on the sides. I liked the coleslaw.

I love the food here. Every time I have come so far I leave full and satisfied. Being from Chicago, I especially appreciate the BBQ here since I can’t get the same quality in Chicago. The environment is pretty good, usually not busy when I have gone. The staff has always been friendly. The prices are reasonable and I would recommend this place. I definitely will keep coming here once in a while. My favorite is definitely the peppered sausage!

Great food for a group and the prices were good. Brought the soccer team here. Endless sides and delicious bread with the fresh BBQ meats. Boys loved it.

The only reason I gave it two stars was because the brisket(which they call beef – weird) and chicken were decent. The rest that we tried – ribs and pork were AWFUL. And the sides were undoubtedly from a can/box and barely seasoned. Gross. Definitely won’t be repeating this mistake. So disappointed.

I got some brisket with a nice peppery bark on it. 9⁄10 Would brisket again. The bbq chicken was good too. I ate 3 chicken legs and had to make myself not go for a 4th.

I thought the food was pretty good. I’ve had waaayyy better barbecue but this wasn’t bad nor was it overly impressive. The mac and cheese was very… verrryy bland. The BBQ meat was actually very good. The ribs were great as well as the peppered sausage and brisket. The price wasn’t bad at either. It just wasn’t that impressive. I’d go back though. Wouldn’t be my first choice though

My co workers and i loved this place, yes loved as in past tense. We ordered the block chopped bakers, which we always order and in the past they have always been wonderful. Today however our bakers were covered in fat instead of yummy barbecue. Both of them. My coworker and i picked through them the best we could but wound up just eating the potato itself. It was so fatty it was inedible. I’m not a person who cuts the fat off the edge of my steak at restaurants because ‘its gross’ i really don’t mind a little fat, but this was too fatty. So we decided to call and let them know that we couldn’t eat any of our meat. The man who was on the phone with me went on the defense immediately saying ‘well, i showed you the plates before you left with them sooo… I don’t know what to tell you’ … Seriously? So it seems the customer service is even worse than my food today. He offered to replace them but we already ate the potato part and cant leave work again to go pick up more that we would probably just waste. He said he would keep our receipt and either refund us or give us two bakers next time. But since he didn’t ask for my name or contact info I’m guessing he was not even going to worry himself over it.

I ordered a bbq sandwich with baked potato. The bun was cold & the meat was Luke warm & dry. This is the second bad meal I’ve had at this restaurant lately and don’t think I will eat here again.

Watched two batches of rolls go out to carry out while I sat there and ate my meal. I was offered a roll just as I finished my pie. Without the rolls I’ll go elsewhere.

Took my elderly mother there last night. Before cashier always offered to help her carry her try with her food on it. This time cashier on duty did nothing. I was paying therefore asked if she could please get someone to help us. My mom is 92. She just looked at me. I politely asked her again. She just said«next». I said to her«thanks for NOT helping my mother». This place use to be high customer service. Know turnover is high but basic service seems has gone out the door. Food was better than normal. Inconsistent everything. Maybe a manager could be on floor to orchestrate their operations and make some major overall improvement.

I judge all bbq places by quality of sliced brisket. Spring Creek’s is tough and rubbery. The beef was not great quality or wasn’t cooked long and slow enough. So I am surprised this place can stay in business in Dallas; I won’t be back.

Not Pecan Lodge but doesn’t cost as much either. I write this in case someone who runs the joint reads reviews. I order an $ 80 to go order. While waiting I go to the bread counter and ask for a roll. The rolls are usually better than the beef. Anyway the asst manager says roles are only for seated customers. I am like ‘what the hell ‘. I spent 3x what your seated customers spent. It’s simple stuff like this that retains or loses customers.

My wife wanted BBQ for the first time in forever and Spring Creek was close and open. I obviously understand that a chain place like this will not compare to a pit joint. However, this has been the worst Spring Creek experience I have ever had. The meats were old and dry and the two gentlemen carving looked like they were miserable. The Mac and cheese was old and nothing was what I expected based on my last time at a Spring Creek.

Cafeteria style food. They offers selection of brisket, ribs, sausage(regular or jalepeno), and chicken. Their side dishes are fair, but the reason they get 4 stars is because you can go back for more sides if you desire. They offer corn, Mac n cheese, green beans, cole slaw, potato salad, and beans. The freshly baked rolls also gives spring creek it’s 4 stars. They bake their own rolls in front of you and walk around when they’re done baking to see if you want any. On Sunday’s, they give away free vanilla ice cream! They also mail you BOGO free dinners, which gives you more incentive to go. Who doesn’t love a free meal with unlimited sides?

I called Spring Creek BBQ for a small catering order with very little advance notice. They beautifully accommodated for 15 people, including plates, cups, cutlery and everything we needed. We ordered 8 lbs of meat per their recommendation and it was just right We had an assortment of everything and it was all delicious. We barely made a dent in the 4 quarts of sides but that’s on us. They even let me borrow a crate and carried it all out to my car for me. Would not hesitate to use these guys again for future orders.

I do enjoy spring creek bbq every once in a while, but it’s not always because of the meat. I find the bbq to be very inconsistent and my most recent visit here was disappointing. The meat was overly smoked and the bbq sauce was too watered down. The black pepper sausages aren’t too bad though — I’d prob stick to that for my meat of choice. The sides are your normal sides: green beans, coleslaw, corn, mac n cheese, beans. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s not. What I enjoy the most there is their bread… soooo good! I could eat a dozen of those if I didn’t feel so guilty for binging on carbs hehe.
