Super 8 Addison

This place is terrible and needs to be torn down. What an eyesore and how are they allowed to stay in business.
The low ratings are true.

Do not book this motel, it’s trashy and sketchy.
The bathroom is disgusting and it’s just old and ragged. It smells like a strip club and it lacks all things comfort.
Should’ve booked a cardboard box at least it wouldn’t smell like your aunt’s house who had been smoking cigarettes since she was 2 years old.
THERE ARE NO POSITIVES ABOUT THIS PLACE.

Pros: good location-​within walking distance of many restaurants and bars.
Included continental breakfast-​but can’t speak to it as i never made it down in time (closes at 9) but did see a waffle maker down there.
Cons: old/​out dated aesthetic
Odd smell (can tell it used to be smoking room and now room smells weird –had to wash all clothes that I took even if I didn’t wear it cause it retained the smell).
Shower curtain still smelled like smoke.
Furniture was in poor shape-​one chair was about to collapse with a 130 lb guy sitting in it.
Value– felt it was over-​priced for the hotel. Not familiar with Addison, so not sure if the area in general is more expensive.

It begins with no rollaway bed + $ 15 a day for 5 days — the «manager» Daniel over the phone told me they only had 2 for the entire motel so I might not be able to receive the rollaway until the day I arrive-​too funny.
Non smoking room for 3 stunk like 20 men smoked in the room for a year. I asked the following morning to switch the room for a NON SMOKING ROOM that was on my receipt I paid for through Expedia-​the «manager» Trey was rude, disrespectful, & told me to call the police if I didn’t like the room. Imagine? How to treat a paid guest from NEW YORK visiting Dallas LMAO. He actually hung up on me while I was at an important training in Lake Highland — I called expedia & super 8 customer service who told me that there was another room available but of course he lied. I asked if the room could be purified since I paid in advance to stay her with two other people. Trust me, the slums of (if you can find any today) look better than this dingy, good for nothing, left over trashy motel from 1970s.
I WILL NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!

It’s ok. We had to get our remote replaced twice. The breakfast isn’t worth it. Nothing special. We originally booked a double and when our other guest couldn’t make it they upgraded us to a single king for no extra charge. They do take cash but they require a $ 20 deposit first.

Well, I can’t much complain about this hotel. I booked it after finding a 20% off deal, making it about $ 33/​night for three nights, cheaper than Motel 6, while allowing me to collect Wyndham Rewards. The check-​in guy was very nice, and the room was on the lower end of the Super 8 spectrum, but that was fine with me for the low price. The two big issues were the shower, which had an unbearably low water pressure, keeping one from enjoying their shower, and the beds. The beds were not comfy at all, and the pillows were almost worthless because they were so flat. Not a good night’s sleep. But, all things considered, I left happy. However, if I paid the full price of $ 45/​night, plus tax, I’d be giving this a 1.5 instead of a 3.
Excellent free wifi though.

The price isn’t bad. I booked directly through the hotel and it was cheaper than
. The room was mostly clean, but we found a sock under the side of the bed when the covers were pulled back (not really hidden at all). We stayed 2 nights and on the second night after we had showered, the tub stopped draining. It was fine when we took our showers earlier. Also on the second night, the toilet wouldn’t flush by using the handle. You have to take the top off the tank and flush it manually. We got a non-​smoking room, but it smelled like either someone had previously smoked in there or every room around us was a smoking one. Not TERRIBLE for the price, not spectacular either.

This place is has horrible service. We checked in and were told we could not get a non-​smoking room, and then went to the room to find someone was in it! and it smelled terrible. The lighting is creepy and they then charged us an extra 10 bucks to get a non-​smoking room after they told us there was none. The front desk guy at night was terrible. But I guess you get what you pay for. Uncomfortable beds, bad pillows. But if you need a place for cheap with a lock and a shower, that is what you’ll get.
