First time here. Wasn’t really worth the money. The meat was good(didn’t get very much at all) but I chose to make a salad with it(not many choices) sauce was good but ordered felafel for the first time. Not sure if it’s supposed to be like this but seemed over fried. overall the place is ok. Id def get the kebab if u come. The salad was pretty lame for the price especially. Place was cute and the staff were great.

I recently made the move to Dallas and I decided to stop in to see what the hype was about. Very simplistic décor. Theres also a smart car in the dining room. Pretty cool to see how the restaurant started up. As for the staff, the manager was very helpful. She helped explain to me what a falafel was and let me try the beef and lamb and the chicken. The beef and lamb was incredible. I tried it original style and it was amazing. I also got a side of falafel that were cooked to perfection(anything fried is always good to me). She came to check on me and turns out we’re from the same hometown. Very cool to get the manager/customer interaction. Most places don’t make time for that anymore. I’ll definitely be back for some more Verts very soon!

Not impressed. We were a group of 4, the first ones there. Two of us got chicken, two the beef/lamb. We thought the bread would be pita bread, but it was just a BUN pressed on a panini machine. The beef/lamb was very dry. It took entirely too long to build our order, and then the mad crowd came in. The fries were a waste… no taste. Will not return. Will stick to original Mediterranean food, not franchises.

Vertskebab is one of those rare consistently good places to grab lunch or diner where you don’t hate yourself after the meal. The kebab isn’t fried. It doesn’t come in a shame-bowl. Nobody asks you to upsize it for a dollar. It has actual vegetables in it, so you get a little nutrient, lovingly nurturing your body with real food as opposed to force feeding yourself calorie-dense fried-fat like you’re preparing yourself for entry in the State-Fair livestock completion. That’s what Vertskebab isn’t. What it is, a quick place to grab a tasty bite that won’t leave you feeling logy and tired. My favorite is the Red Hot. I get it with lamb and beef, it has a couple of types of spicy sauce on it, jalapenos, peppers, cabbage, and tomato. I probably eat 3 or 4 of these a week because a Red Hot and a drink are less than 10 bucks and you can get in, eat and get out in less than a half an hour. All the veg is fresh, never that gross tasteless. jelly tomato like you get on a fast-food hamburger, these are big slice of tomato which really bring a nice taste to the Kebab. The sauce is amazing, I’m not sure I’ve ever had anything like it before. All in all it is satisfying and delicious. They have falafel. I’m not entirely sure what falafel is to be honest, I think it is made from chickpeas, but I’m not positive. All I know is I never had it before coming to Verts and the Verts falafel is better than anywhere I’ve had the things since. I suppose they are Mediterranean hush-puppies. That’s probably as close to anything to describe them. They’re fried, but they’re not real dense or anything — you can get a variety of dipping sauces and they’re a real nice compliment to the Kebab. The staff is great. Even when they are busy they work through the line quickly, my sandwich is always made correctly, and they are always friendly. You’ll be greeted at the door and they even say«Thanks!» as you exit, which is nice, it makes me feel more appreciated as a customer.

My new go to for a fresh food. This place was really good. Like another reviewer said its like subway ordering style. With that said the ingredients are fresh and top notch. I JD the Kebap beef and lamb sandwich with cucumber, corn, spring mix, grilled onion, mushroom, tomatoes, with garlic sauce and their hot sauce. Large portions, and well priced. I did not feel overly full at all.

In the mood for some Mediterranean food on my way to the office from the doctor today, and Unilocal alerts me of VertsKebap. I’ve seen some billboards, and it’s on the way, so I dropped in for a to-go sack. Entering and looking at the setup, it’s obvious that this is yet another concept born from the format of Chipotle(that place should be collecting royalties): Pick your starch(if any), pick your protein, pick your veggies, pick your sauce. This time, it’s döner, a meat similar to Greek gyro, that’s actually German/Turkish in origin, but shares form factor and a lot of flavor. I chose a wrap with beef & lamb(the two are processed together, you can’t get one or the other) made«Texas style», which nets you spring mix, cucumber(withheld on mine), tomato, corn, jalapeño(choice of fresh or pickled, nice!) and spicy red sauce, Feta cheese was offered, and I was powerless to resist. I should also mention that, at the time of starch choice, you’re asked if you want«extras»(these include fries, sweet potato or regular, and falafel, which you can also get as your«protein»). I had to get a falafel and sweet potato fries to try, since this was my first visit. They cook the fries fresh while you wait, so they’ll never be cold. A nice touch! Digging in back at the office, the fries were cut«hearty» and were perfectly cooked, some of the best ones I’ve had. The falafel was also very good, but not as strongly spiced as some I’ve had at other places, possibly by design. Still, it was very tasty and«toasty». Moving on to my wrap, it was quite tasty. I carved it in half before starting, and it was clear that the careful construction had paid off. They were very good about spreading the ingredients equally across the wrap, making it a consistent experience from start to finish. The taste was really good, although, I’ll admit, it’s an interesting mix of flavors, a bit of a culture clash. I did find a tiny bit of the«unchewable bits» in the meat that others have complained about, but it was a very small amount, nothing to worry about. If there was a knock at all, the default meat portion, compared to the other ingredients, seems a little small, and I ordered extra to compensate. I really wanted«meat and a half» rather than double, and I think I ended up receiving the former and paying for the latter. But I digress. This was really a pretty tasty meal(and enough leftovers for me to have a second meal, YMMV). Give this place a try if there’s one near you!

I have a terrible weakness for falafels. I love them and go gah gah over them. I’m always up for trying new places that offer them! Anyhoo, this place is yum-o-licous! It’s like a subway with infinitely better quality; a chipotle with superior choices. I don’t understand what the word«kebap» means. I could google it, but I don’t care that much. It’s like a pita that’s been put in a panini press, sliced open and stuffed with your choice of goodness. I have one request. Offer your french fries with the toppings. I had a not-so-helpful worker reply to me, «sorry, we just put salt on our fries.» When I asked if they ever make feta fries.: \ Take my fries. Dump them in the box. Squeeze on some sauce. Throw on some feta and jalapeño, and charge me extra. No big thing. Yes. It was tasty. I’ll go back. * It’s a pain in the ass to find in that black hole shopping center. It’s just south of The Social House.

Tasty and fresh is the verdict. I love me some Mediterranean food and was craving something light and quick on a Friday afternoon. VertsKebap seemed to fit the bill with their Subway concept with Mediterranean street food fare. I dragged my coworkers with me crossing my fingers that all of the positive reviews on this place couldn’t be wrong. Well they weren’t. I got the snack size beef/lamb pita with a plethora of veggies and house and garlic sauce, a sprinkling of feta, with a side of the small falafel. Some of the best falafel I’ve had, like craveable good. They do serve beer but I did not partake. My coworkers and I pretty much inhaled our food it was so good. Days later, I’m still craving the falafel…

Yuck!!! Let’s just say this was not one of my favorite restaurants. This was my first time here. Think gyro, but a gyro not worthy of the gyro name. I got the beef & lamb and it was fatty! I am not talking a little fatty, but so fatty I had to spit it out. Combine that with greasy soggy fries and you get the picture.

Wow! This place is delicious. Theyhave a subway type concept, but for Gyro Meats and Falafels, and you can choose if you want a sandwich, wrap or salad. I got the salad to be on the healthy route. I got the chicken and roasted veggies, and the meat and veggies had such a great flavoring. They have very nice dressings as well, as I got the garlic dressing and spicy. Definitely will be coming back here!

Beef and lamp vertskebap stuff with cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, spring mix and their garlic sauce was very good and well priced. The beef and lamb was seasoned well and tender. The cucumbers fresh with a nice crunch. The onions shredded and tomatoes in semi large slices. The spring mix was just like any other you can find in a grocery store. And the garlic sauce is their house sauce + garlic. I firmly believe adding garlic makes everything better and in this case I’m not wrong. The bread that holds all this deliciousness together is toasted to a golden crunchy and flaky goodness. I could probably eat it solely alone or with the sauce and it’d be satisfying. They won me over with the bread. I got the regular size but they also offer snack sizes of all their offerings which I believe are salads or wraps. I also got and order of falafel that was among the most flavorful that I’ve had in Dallas with a nice crispy outer crunch. I got this with the house sauce which is a yogurts based sauce with dill. The interior décor has a variety of seating whether you like the metal table and chairs, the rare u shaped arrangement around a small car or high top table and chairs. There isn’t any outdoor seating because the sidewalk outside is too narrow but in the heat of Dallas you won’t be missing the patio too long. They also serve local brews. I will be back.

I have been here a couple times since it opened and it is just AMAZING! It is exactly what this area needed — a quick, delicious, and healthy lunch option! It is fast casual counter service and is very well priced. They use high quality ingredients and also use greek yogurt as a base for their sauces(great for those watching what they eat– it is bikini season now;)) I always get their original with lamb and beef. It is perfect! I always add feta and mushrooms to it and it gives it a nice twist. They also have a couple craft beers on draft which are also very well priced for Dallas. FYI — the snack size is the way to go if you don’t eat an incredible amount of food and it is definitely enough to leave you feeling full but not overstuffed:) So excited to have this place in the neighborhood and will definitely be coming back! If you haven’t been I definitely recommend giving it a try.

Ok, I went back and gave them another try. This time, the regional manager was there to personally answer my questions. First of all, it is very impressive that they actually read and respond to all the Unilocal reviews. In my last review, I said that there wasn’t enough meat. In response, they now have set up digital balances to make sure that everybody gets their allotment of meat so nobody gets accidentally shortchanged. I would still like more meat. However, in all fairness, their rotisserie meat is of much higher quality than the pink slime that Mickey D’s serve. It probably would make the sandwich over $ 10 if they were to serve more meat and they do want to stay price competitive. Also, in all fairness, they are not stingy on the veggies. Also, in my last review, I said that I liked the Doners in Germany more. In all fairness, there are a lot less, less quality of, and less kinds of fresh veggies in the German Doners. It is very hard to keep veggies fresh in a push cart. Vertskebab has a cornucopia of veggies while the German version only has some onions and pickles. I liked the German yogurt sauce with pickle bits in it. Last time I came they used very little sauce. This time, I had them add double original sauce with extra cucumbers. This made it very close to the German version in flavor. The original sauce is yogurt sauce with dill. The extra sauce also gives the meat better mouth feel and makes it more moist. Also, the manager assures me that he’s giving the employees additional training. He changes the contents of the metal buckets of meat every hour. They will not keep the same old meat in the metal bucket all day long. However, they will not shave the meat off for every new customer because Americans are a lot more impatient than Europeans. He wants to serve your Kebab in less than 2 minutes. So, I take it back. The German version is not better, but just different because Vertskebab has fresher, better, more, and a bigger choice of veggies than the German version. Finally, you don’t have to order two Kebaps/sandwiches in order to have your stomach filled. You could spend less money by ordering a Felafel side order instead. This would give you the filling protein without having to purchase another sandwich. I tried felafel for the first time in my life today. It was like a crunchy hush puppy but with a texture on the inside that’s almost like a soft piece of meat ball. Interesting. I still prefer meat, though. I added back another star. Vertskebab is way better than any sandwich shop such as Subway or Quiznos. Vertskebab is now in my regular restaurant rotation. Yum!

This place is AMAAAAAZING. I could eat it everyday. The people inside the store were polite and helpful as it was my friends first time. Cool concept and low calorie. If you’re a woman or don’t have the appetite of a giant, get a snack size. It’s plenty! They make their sauces with yogurt so that’s cool. The garlic and original dill I could bathe in it. Messy to eat, that’s expected. The falafel are really good too! 3 come in a small size which was plenty for me. HIGHLY recommend the beef/lamb meat. I get it as the kebap(kinda like a gyro) but you could get it in a wrap or as a salad.

I returned from Germany in hopes of finding a Döner Kebap place as good as the € 3 Döner I so frequently had during my stay there. VertsKebap isn’t a shabby place if you don’t know what this is. It’s fairly healthy looking if you choose right! But I do think some things could improve. Service was excellent. This guy i creepily took a picture of was very nice and helpful to all the customers before me and the ones after me and informative! 5 stars for him especially. Things are best when they’re fresh. I saw that the lamb and beef mix was placed into one of the containers. I like the better when they’re shaved in a crisp consistency. My bread ended up being soggy by the time I bit into it and some of the veggies were very bitter. I like how they offer a variety of drinks at the front. There are two sizes of fries you can get– one is much bigger than the other so plan to share if you get the big box! I will probably be back to give it another shot!

I really enjoyed my kebap. The kebap I ordered looked just like the photo in the Dallas Observer I had seen the night before. The trick to making sure your kabap tastes goods is the amount of veggies you decide to put in your sandwich. The meat is on the salty side so LOAD up on your veggies to balance out the flavor. I was also expecting the meat to be similar to the soft gyro kind but keep in mind these are a GERMAN delight so they’re a little more crispy and chewy. I ordered the beef/lamb kebap and loaded up on the House Sauce and Spicy Red sauce. I had them pack in the veggies and was thorougly pleased. 2 Doners and 2 bottles of soda put me back a little under $ 25. Good deal for a cheap lunch date.

I said I wanted the Verts Original which contains the House Sauce, Vinaigrette & Spicy Red Sauce but the server said ‘No, which sauce?’. Maybe she didn’t know what sauces were in the Verts Original? Food: 2.5÷5 –I got the beef/lamb kebap. I was thinking Greek but this is actually German. –The amount of food was filling but the taste just wasn’t there. –The protein was too salty.
