The best place to hangout! Great pool tables, full bar, and excellent food! Very well run place. Brendan is a great guy, and he’s usually there running the bar. Allie is such a great waitress with a winning smile! I love it here. This establishment is spacious, so they often have numerous cool events going on each day. For instance, every Tuesday there is a sweet painting instructor teaching Paint Nite! Check it out!

I’m really hoping it was an ‘off’ night at Brendan’s, as Jim G. and I enjoyed ourselves the last time we dropped in. But for now, the rating has to stand. We go to Brendan’s on a Saturday to watch UFC fights; they’ve been promoting it on their Facebook page and we assume it’ll be packed, so we drop in a bit early to watch the prelims and get a good spot. It’s dead. There’s maybe 3 other people in the whole bar and restaurant. No biggie, we think; it’ll get busy later and we’ll have a great spot! Our bartender/server Allyson is sweet but not very clear in her answers to my questions. I know they have happy hour, but none of the 3 menus we have really says what it is or which beers are included. On the 2nd round of beers, I felt a little stupid asking if the beer I wanted was on draft, since it wasn’t on their draft menu and I already had one in a bottle. Allyson replies, «Yeah, we have that on draft!» Ugh! It’s cheaper on draft and(could be) better; why doesn’t it say that anywhere? It’s a bit of a challenge to get the television on the right channel. After we look it up on our phone and tell her, it finally works out, but we’ve missed some of the fight. Note to management: if you’re promoting fights all week and actually expect customers to come in, let your employees know the channels to put on. Just write them down or something. It’s very difficult to get someone to come over to our table to order food. While Allyson is still helping us with drinks, someone else is taking food orders, it seems. Although he was mostly standing at the bar chatting with Allyson and the four other employees who were also standing at the bar for most of the night. Literally, at one point(in between fights), I timed it. For nearly 10 minutes there were 6 employees(one who looked like he might be a manager) standing around the bar, chatting, watching what was on the tv, etc. I’m just trying to get some food and a beer, please! Food was ok; nothing to massively complain about and nothing to write home about either. Just for comparison’s sake, we had wings, brat skewers, brussels sprouts, deviled eggs, and a fairly disappointing lamb stew. By the end of the fights, the place is still fairly dead, the employees are still just hanging around not being helpful, and it’s been a pretty disappointing evening. We are subjected to another lengthy wait trying to get someone’s attention for our check just to see that it’s wrong when we do get it. According to what we were told, we were way overcharged for our happy hour beers. Allyson removed a few of the beers, so we ended up getting not overpaying and actually getting one free. That was nice of her, of course, but it was just another mistake in a night full of them. I’m not really sure why I would go back to Brendan’s. Other people seem to love it, so maybe it was just an off night, like I said. But, having such an off night on a Saturday night when you’ve promoted an event? Sounds like bad news to me.

We loved this place and the menu selections until last night. We liked the Irish fare but also the fact that there were some health dinner choices. OMG! They have cut the menu to almost nothing and, after having made a reservation, arrived to find a sign on the door saying there would be a $ 25 minimum per person because of the UFC even that night. We didn’t even know what UFC means. Turns out that is a boxing match they apparently paid extra for to have on their TVs. We had no interest in the fight. This was a Saturday night and the place was not as busy as it used to be on a weeknight. The menu states they will make something from their prior menu but of course you’d have to remember what those choices were. We confirmed with the waitress that there is new ownership. Quality of the food is still very good and the wait staff very nice, but it now feels more like a bar menu than and Irish Restaurant. This shrunken menu leaves us cold. We won’t be going back.

I’m giving it two stars because of the day weekend help, the ladies there are awesome! However, let me tell why the low score. We were regulars on the weekends, primarily due to the staff and the happy hour menu. We came in one weekend and it was gone. No hint or any communication that they were considering to eliminate it all together. We looked over the«new» paper menus, which do not have any flare as the old ones did. Most items still the same, some new ones, but no more happy hour prices. I run & own a successful restaurant and have decided to keep happy hour going because we notice it drives in regulars as well as new traffic who are looking to try something new without having to commit to full prices. I have decided to leave a review because I was reading the feedback you have received recently and felt obligated to. You should consider listening not only to your regular customers but most importantly the staff, they know the trends as well as what the customers habits are, i.e. Purchasing. It’s extremely unfortunate!

#FAIL! The Happy Hour is gone. Kaput. Seriously? What is the management THINKING? We were regular customers at Brendan’s for years, loved it… it was one of our favorite go-to places. Always good food, a real value, lovely wait staff, and a nice experience — especially at Happy Hour. But — no more. Plus — the new bar menu? We sampled several items. they were just awful. I swear, you could hear the lamb sliders bleating! Ugh! The beef sliders were fatty & gross. The croquettes were smelly — and everything had a TON of salt in it. UGH! The(new menu) items we ordered were pushed away after one bite.(No offer to comp or replace any of it, either.) The place was — as others mention — deserted at 6:30pm. Doesn’t that tell you something? There are so many other dining options in the area now — sadly, no reason to go back to Brendan’s ever again.

I would have given this five stars, but now that they’ve dropped happy hour, they only get a three. I loved Brendan’s. It really reminded me of a pub in Ireland. We came often for happy hour and then stayed and ordered more after happy hour was over. Yesterday was the first time I’ve been back since they got rid of happy hour. The place was empty. The waiter said he had no customers for the past hour and half, when the bar used to be packed. No surprise there. Note to owners: If happy hour was losing money don’t just get rid of it and alienate your loyal customers; alter it so that it works for everyone.

Happy hour is gone. 16.99 for decent fish and chips with a thimble sized of cole slaw. This is supposed to be a pub

Would give it a 10 but they have dropped Happy Hour and have added a limited new menu that includes a $ 200 burger. It’s everything that Brendan’s was not before. I want my neighborhood pub back!

Great place to meet up with friends for drinks and then easy to grab a bite afterwards. Will be headed back soon for more fish and chips.

We’ve been several times and overall it’s a good place to go for my «Irish» fix. Last night, the draft beers were not cold which was disappointing, but the food was good. My party ordered Corned Beef and Cabbage, a salad wrap and I ordered the new Whiskey Burger. This was my first time ordering a burger here, and even though the taste was good, it seemed skimpy on the size of the patty and the amount of toppings. Our server was good, and of course we love the chips they bring out.

I have visited this Brendan’s a few times, as well as the one in Newbury Park, and have been impressed each time. Venue– A nice restaurant situated in Agoura Hills. The booths were a little more closed off than the ones in the Newbury Park location, although it was still cosy. Food– Good pub grub, a selection of dishes from Ireland and the British Isles as well as some more exotic dishes(yes, curry is popular enough to have been adopted as a British dish, funnily enough). They had a special menu devoted to everything in chocolate the day we came in– now I’m a fan of chocolate, but salmon with chocolate glaze? I gotta draw the line somewhere :/. Happy hour also has some great deals, I recommend the Drunken mussels. Staff– Waitresses are friendly and helpful. Price– fairly priced for the food. I will be back the next time I have a craving for British comfort food.

The restaurant is decorated really cool with a fun bar and pool area but the food is not good. The fish and chips plate came with 2 small fried fish in a batter that was chewy and overcooked. The Irish nachos, well it was a sprinkling of meat, cheese and diced tomatoes on top of potato chips, nearly ¾ of the chips had no meat or cheese. meh. Along with my fish and chips I ordered a side of mashed potatoes. What came was a very small side of potatoes that were so dense and did not taste fresh at all. I asked for gravy and was told they were out of it. If you serve bangers and mash and shepherds pie how can you be out of gravy? Anyway. I guess the place truly lost me on the potatoes. An Irish pub should serve up awesome potatoes. Disappointed.

Really good and really fun. Being new to the area, this place quickly stood out as a local hot spot. The vibe is really casual and entertaining. You really feel like you’re in an Irish pub with the live music and decorations. Can’t wait to come back, watch a game, and play some pool. As for the food, the appetizers keep me coming back. The potato skins, onion rings, and wings are really good. I’m happy just loading up on those, especially during happy hour. Their happy hour includes most of their burgers as well, which is great. The wedge salad is also cold and refreshing. I thought the Whiskey Burger could have been more flavorful, but I’m eager to try other burgers and dishes because the rest of the experience was good. I will say that the burger buns are killer – they’re soft and spongy. The service is also attentive and friendly. They were very accommodating when we squeezed in for last minute happy hour. Overall, Brendan’s is a fun time and a good place to kick back and relax without breaking the bank. We’ll definitely be back.

Brendan’s is a great place for many reasons. If you want a nice family dinner of tasty traditional Irish fare such as bangers and mash, steak and kidney pie, and more, this is the place. If you want to watch sports, this place has many tv’s over the bar and in the pool room. If you want a nighttime hangout, they have darts, video games, and pool, and last call is 2am, the latest place in the area. Brendan’s has live music sometimes too, and it has a nice crowd on the weekends. It is the happening spot in town, and it’s hidden in a strip mall off the freeway behind a gas station.

The muscles appetizer in a really tasty broth– so delicious when you dip the garlic cheese bread in there. The shepherds’s pie also, very delicious with the creamy mash potatoes with a slight torch ontop. We also split the Whisky Burger– which is so amazing. I had all this with my $ 4.00 dollar IPA. They have a really good selection of Gourmet Type burgers. They had some other traditional«Irish» food items on the menu I will explore on my next trip out. I’ve had Brendan’s bookmarked for years, it took a huge AD in my mailbox saying ½ off burgers and Appetizers during happy hour on the weekends to get me here. :) On the weekends they have a happy hour menu starting from 11:30−6pm– which includes ½ off Burgers and Appetizers with $ 4.00 dollar drink menu including beers, mimosas and other items. The décor is really nice in here– They got a separate room of 4 pool tables and the dining area has really high up booths– so you get lots of privacy in here. The bar area is really nice too. I know they have 3 locations total– Camarillo, Newbury Park and this one.

Lots of people a Friday evening. Very nice atmosphere. Very good food, a superb SoCal burger with fries followed by bread pudding. And to this some Stella lager. Excellent! And highly recommended!

After having a nice lunch experience at this location we decided to have my son’s 25th birthday dinner there a couple weeks later. It was a bonus that the birthday boy’s entrée was comped because we had the event the day of his birthday. Our party of 8 was set up exactly where I had hoped it would be – in an area just off the bar, a little separated from the main area of the restaurant at a generously-sized table. It was comfortable and not too loud. But maybe being separated from the main bar and dining area contributed to our biggest problem of the night — a lack of attentiveness from the wait staff. Seven of our eight guests got their initial drinks fairly promptly but the one mixed drink came very much later, after prompting. BTW, compliments on the Guinness pour! It was perfectly done. The complimentary chips were nice but they didn’t arrive at the table until well after the drinks and appetizer were mostly consumed. After having our dinner entrees served, we had the server check on us just once. When a couple of us asked for refills on water, the server said, «I’ll just bring you a pitcher.» After she plunked that pitcher on the table, we did not see her again until we had a busser track her down to get the birthday brownie served. Nobody asked if we wanted more drinks even. We had one person arrive very late and they ended up just eating some leftovers because no staff ever came to check on us. Although it was a Saturday night, the bar and restaurant didn’t seem overly busy so I don’t think that was the trouble. The food was tasty but by the time we were done, it really felt like we were more of a burden than welcomed guests.

Apparently my first review didnt provide enough detail — let’s amend that. Short version, for those of you who don’t have time for a novel: family of five got food poisoning after a meal here. Check out the other pub in the area for a better, non-vomit inducing, experience. Long version: my parents, brother, fiancé, and i all got food poisoning after eating here. We all had different things, so it wasn’t as if one specific thing was bad, except if that thing was salt. Can salt go bad? God I hope not. Anyway, all of us were pretty sick through the weekend after eating here. One of us had the veggie burger, one had a shepherd’s pie, I had the sampler platter thingy, and two had a pasta thing I think? Anyway, sick sick sick sick sick. But, to be honest, even had we not got food poisoning, I doubt we would have returned. The alcohol selection was decent, but the menu was average at best and the interior décor felt like they were trying too hard. I am hard pressed to find any way this place is doing anything better than the pub on T.O. blvd.

My quest for new places has paid off in spades this afternoon. Lunch today at Brendan’s Irish Pub was great from start to finish. Trekked over from the Valley, just a fifteen minute drive. This place is huge. Lots of big comfortable booths. Just a few folks there when we came in. Our waitress was Brigitte, she was great, and really took care of us. They play good music. Great atmosphere. The bathroom was spotless. No graffiti, nothing all scratched up like I’ve seen in so many bathrooms in the Valley. I think that says a lot about the community and the Pub. A class act all around. A great place to eat and drink! A pint was tempting but I got things to do today, so iced tea for me. Beer next time for sure. We started with an order of Potato Skins. They stuff the skins with mashed potatoes. A little different, but in a good way. I ordered the full order of Fish & Chips. Full order comes with 3 large pieces of Alaskan Cod, Harp Beer Battered. It was huge. I could only eat 2 pieces. The half order comes with 2 pieces. Next time! Great Fish & Chips. The real deal Pub fare. Well done Brendan’s! The GF ordered the lunch combo. Half Irish Ruben, and a Garden Salad. I got a bite of that Corned Beef Ruben, the corned beef was hot juicy and tender. Great sandwich. Our waitress said they have a few new desserts on the menu and if we wanted to try one, it would be free. A very nice gesture indeed. As stuffed as I was, I managed to put a big dent in their Whiskey Bread Pudding which was awesome! Loved this place. Be back soon. Note to self– Check out house prices in Agoura Hills…
