Abacus Bookkeepoing and Tax

I lost my home of 26 years. It pains me deeply to write this review warning people to stay away from Abacus because I like Sharon personally and have been working with her for more than 20 years. During that time, she has failed to provide timely and/​or competent results on several occasions. As another person’s review stated, she is very good at avoiding things, which in itself may have value depending on your individual situation.
This time however, despite promises and several missed deadlines related to a court order to provide Trust accounting, she finally submitted the accounting work in a format that is not within the proper guidelines for an irrevocable Trust accounting. She promised me that she would consult with my estate attorney to confirm the proper format of things needing to be filed, but she didn’t. Her non-​performance cost me my house and my children’s future. IF anyone is considering using their services, you owe it to yourself (and to your family) to avoid Abacus at all costs. Empty promises, lack of communication, avoidance, disregard for deadlines. If they’re the only people you can call when you back is against the wall… your done!

Have known Sharon for several years and she has helped me so much whenever I had questions about my small but growing business. This year I was overwhelmed and was not getting the help I needed from my previous tax service. She helped my office manager set up quick books, and showed us how to use it. She is always available when we need her. I’d highly recommend Abacus tax service if you are looking for a local business with an long, proven track record known for it’s personal touch and expertise.

It takes a lot to impress me especially when it comes to the grueling task of TAX SEASON! But I can honestly say I have never met someone so approachable and helpful with my finances like Sharon Hinchman. She answered all my questions, and I had many of them, about preparing all my paperwork. She told me that I could reach out to her anytime about business and personal finances, she’s do her best at no extra cost to answer my inquiries. I know that I have found a reliable tax service for me and my family. I highly recommend ABACUS in Alamo, CA.
