Fresh Greens At The Park

This place is just perfectly «ok.» The food was ok, nothing terrible, nothing amazing. Décor leaves much to be desired, but I get the sense most people grab food to go here, and they have seating outside when it’s nice out. They have a variety of food, including salads, sandwiches, and even ice cream. But again, the selection is «meh.» I was underwhelmed by my caprese salad that was heavier on italian dressing than balsamic vinaigrette (odd choice, given that a caprese salad normally has balsamic on it). The salads are also heavily promoted as being chopped salads, not requiring a knife, which was also odd because how frequently do people have to cut their salads with a knife? Most places make salads edible with just a fork now.
You could definitely do worse for lunch, and if you’re in a rush to grab food, this place is perfectly fine. It’s not going to amaze, but it’ll be satisfying.

Don’t let the name fool you! «Fresh Greens» doesn’t mean ONLY salads! If you’re looking for a great salad for lunch though, look no further. They have all different kinds and the amount you get is WELL worth the price.
Like I said though, it’s NOT JUST salads. They have an excellent selection of sandwiches as well. Oh, and did I mention they serve BREAKFAST??? I’m sitting here enjoying an awesome steak and egg sandwich on a ciabatta roll. This thing has portabello mushrooms, feta cheese, onion, and a yummy sauce on it.
My only complaint about their breakfast sandwiches is that they named them after political things. The sandwich I am eating now is called the «Senator Slamwich.» The New York political system is corrupt. Fresh Greens’ food is not!
And just let me leave you with this one final little note… DELICIOUS LOBSTER BISQUE — EVERY DAY!

Fast, tasty, not too expensive. Solid lunch. I had the buffalo chicken wrap and was impressed by how quickly they were able to turn around the order.
The set up is easy to understand and the service is friendly.

I always like to support new local businesses and I will definitely be returning to this one! I’ve gone here a few times and gotten a few different sandwiches and wraps and they are always good. Only complaint is that they should offer to have the wraps be either cold or hot (I think they are all served cold) and the chicken they use could be of better quality. Overall the staff is very friendly, and its in a great location for us downtown workers. They also have a punch card which allows their loyal customers to receive a free item on their 10^th visit which is always nice.
Update — ordered a create your own salad today and it was HUGE… and came with a hot breadstick i couldn’t even finish it all…7 bucks great deal.

Food was fresh, delicious and reasonable. I work right around the corner and had them cater an event for me. I was impressed. Definitely worth going there. Some different and new I like it.
