Round Table Pizza

This Round Table Pizza should just close down already.
So, yesterday I decided I wanted to get a medium King Arthur pizza. Came in placed my order and waited, there were at least two customers complaining about them getting their order wrong. So I thought nothing of it because I really wanted my pizza. 30 minutes passed, no pizza, WTH. So, now I’m irritated! One of the workers came over and asked what was my order number? Are you kidding me, you mean to tell me I’ve been waiting here and you guys are back there goofing around. Another 10 minutes passed by and she asked if I wanted a salad, A salad? chick I just want my damn pizza. She says we’re having technical difficulties in the kitchen; OMG how hard could it be to make pizza. Long story short I requested my money back and left and so did a few other customers. I will never come to this particular Round Table Pizza again.

I should have read the reviews. It’s monday night, so I decide to order a pizza online. I order at 8:30 pm. My card is charged $ 50. The confirm says delivery is at 9:30 pm. It’s 9:50 pm and I still dont have my pizza. I call them. My call gets transferred to another Round Table in Oakland who tells me that store is closed now. I said, «that’s not what it says on the internet.» The lady apologizes and tells me to call them tomorrow. Great, I’m starving, short $ 50 and no pizza. DONT EVER GO TO THIS ROUND TABLE. THEY SUCK SO BAD.
So someone called me back a week later to apologize and offer me a free pizza. Guess what I’ve been reading the reviews and no way I’m going to eat a pizza from a filthy ass restaurant that has cockroaches in their pizzas

Beware: This is the WORST Round Table Restaurant in the chain. A long term RT customer, I tried ordering from this location after moving to Berkeley. As with my previous location, I place delivery orders online. This has always been an effective choice for me because I have food allergies and need to be very specific when I order. Ordering online allows me to put this in writing «Allergy alert! Please do NOT use the following ingredients.» Always effective… until ordering from THIS Restaurant .
On four different occasions, they ignored such instructions and delivered a pizza covered in the very ingredients I asked them NOT to include. Each time I called the location and spoke with the manager, who never offered an apology but blamed it on «new cooks.» Yes, she sent a replacement for the erroneous order. But it takes them an hour to prepare and deliver each pizza, so the replacement order would arrive 2 — 2 ½ hours after the initial order. A total joke! The second and third times this happened I spoke with the (same) manager, I inquired what I might do to avoid this happening in the future. She said «I will talk to the cooks and tell them to read the orders more carefully.» After the fourth time, I am done!
I grew up eating Round Table Pizza and continued the tradition into adulthood. But dealing with this Albany location has been such a bad experience that they have lost my patronage permanently. At least as long as I live in Berkeley!

Wow so i went here for the tuesday buffet and i thought it was gunna be a normal visit until
–The seat broke, literally some came off and they looked at me like wtf why did you break it, nigga i came in here and the shit was already bouta fall through and they didn’t do shit about it
–we ordered a salad with the pizza buffet and guess what dumbasses, no lettuce, not even spinach, and the toppings were not fresh stupid fucks, i wasnt bouta ask either cuz for real tho. Yall walkin around pretendin like you got work to be done, yea right yall had your delivery guy come back and do the salad, good job
–yall kept changing the channel that your regular customer even complained and you guys told him off too, hella disrespectful
–fix your fuckin ice machine, that one white boi had to come and fix it and when he did he looked like he didn’t like his job or even like the customers, or his life, or his hair line lol dam yall needa step up, lazy ass mothafuckas, stop eatin ass
The only thing that showed yall cared even one bit were those chocolate mints, like that was supposed to make up for all that bullshit
EVERBODY DONT GO HERE, IF YOU WANT BETTER PIZZA, SERVICE, AND BUFFET GO TO MOUNTAIN MIKES DOWN THE STREET, LET THIS PLACE SHUT DOWN!

Ordered cinnamon twists, which are described as follows on the website «Our famous twists, rolled in a brown and white sugar cinnamon mixture and topped with a delicious powdered sugar glaze». What I GOT were some burnt, dry, cold, twisted breadsticks that had NOT been rolled in cinnamon and sugar, and had no glaze on them. When I called for a refund, the manager initially did not want to grant it because «she made them herself and made sure to put butter, cinnamon, and sugar INSIDE the sticks. This is not what I ordered. I ordered the item as described and pictured on the website. She begrudgingly agreed to cancel the order of cinnamon sticks, and then proceeded to hang up the phone in my face as I was attempting to say thank you…

I ordered a pizza online at 8pm from the Albany location. They called me to tell me they were out of large dough but had someone bringing in some from another location and would I mind waiting one hour and they would call me as soon as my pizza was ready for pick-​up. Since I live two blocks away, I thought that would be okay. At 9:30 pm, when no one had called me I called them and was routed to the Grand Ave (Oakland) location. I was informed that Albany had closed and all their calls were being forwarded to Grand. And good luck with getting a pizza tonight but I could call Albany tomorrow and complain. Well that’s just great! Complaining tomorrow doesn’t help with tonight. Sorry family, no dinner tonight.

Eating hard crusted pizza during lunch time buffet. After eating 3 slice still waiting on new pizza coming out. It’s been 20 min sipping my drink turn my head looking for some pizza to come out. There are others waiting for pizza to come out. Yeah not coming back.

Girl at counter less than friendly will not come again. We dined in and to go orders seemed to be more important. Thought this was a family restaurant.

I am 10 minutes away from this place and could pick up … the place is bad, the phone service is not so great, the delivery very late and inconsistent (not as promised) and to add insult, annoyed when you call to ask where is the pizza! I think they really need an experienced business manager (a good one). Not a delivery guy issue. But till then, to avoid frustration, I will pick up my own pizza — no delivery!

Tamesha was super nice and patient. The place isn’t very nice but the food is service is good.

I hate you Round Table! My first time ordering from you today– you quoted me 605PM as the ETA. It’s 654pm now– I called your location 3x and been told my order is on its way– and that you only have 2 drivers which is not my problem. And whoever handles your phone — she’s so incompetent. Putting me on hold without asking me first. Good thing I didn’t pay by card online otherwise, I’m screwed! Thanks for ruining my Sunday night with friends! Never again! UPDATE: your driver showed up at my door at 720PM! Poor guy– I told him I don’t want the order anymore as my friends left already! Seriously— 605PM to 720PM? This Round Table pizza location is a joke!

It football season so naturally pizza is on menu. I please to find 2 locations within 2.5 miles of my house for delivery. I live Directly off the freeway so i figure no probelm. i tried to order online to learn that despite being within 5 mins driving time i could not get my pizza delivered. i call and they confirmed this and insisted i travel the 2.5 miles to pick it up. What make this situation even worst is that their competitor Mountain mikes is located 6 miles away in san pablo had no issue with delivering the pizza i requested. Something fishy is going on. but safe to say i will be recommending someone else when ordering pizza for this season.

This place gives round table a bad name. For starters, this place is really dirty. The floors, bathroom, and play area, make me question the cleanliness of the kitchen. The chairs are ripped apart as well. I know these are franchise, but come on.

I can’t believe this place even has two stars. One hour is the time I was told. I say ok. Two hours later I call (I forgot I even ordered pizza) and I’m told 15 more minutes! Either incompetent or understaffed. Regardless, I’m out. Order from Dominoes on Solano.

Round Table is always awesome. Yeah, the service may not always be good. But, the food is good.

They need to have more than one person handle orders. I was second in line waiting for the lady taking a phone order to address myself and the gentleman in front of me. While she was taking what must have been a large order (this went on for over five minutes) the other three workers stood around doing nothing; all with exhausted looks on their faces as if they do not want to be there. Not a welcoming experience at all. When I was finally able to make my order (to go) the lady– DaeJana (sp?) — taking the orders was very nice and professional. Sadly, her personality was not conveyed by the others as they waited for paid orders.
What could have happened: 1) be welcomed with smiles from the other workers and the one on the phone. 2) tell us that we will be helped soon. 3) take our order on a separate register while we wait for the phone order to be completed. 4) get started on our order (like Starbucks) while we wait for the phone order to be completed.

I should really have known better, since my HORRIBLE experience here a few years back.
This is the second time in a few weeks that I’ve ordered here online, showed up slightly after or substantially after the ready time quoted, and the order hadn’t even been put in.
This was also the second time in a few weeks that the «greeting» was borderline ignoring, but this time… a BONUS: The two guys who were making pizzas were standing around, leaning on the counter, munching on dough, drinking Red Bulls, and bullshitting… and allowing the pizza — assembly area to be a complete mess. COMPLETELY unprofessional.
I’m going to go out on a limb, and suggest that management either:
A. Abuses their employees, because they clearly couldn’t give a shit about hygiene or customer service.
B. Doesn’t care about the business, for whatever reason.
C. Is nonexistent.
D. Some combination of the above.
Whatever the reason, I believe that I am completely done with this shithole location.

On my way home from a birthday gathering at Fonda, I knew something was not right. Them Margaritas went down smoothly, but came creeping back! Double vision.
No, not driving, especially near the Albany 50-​O. Pulled over at RT and texted for an Über. Ordered a pizza while waiting and had two slices when Über arrived.
With my pizza boxed to go, I DROPPED IT! Yes, a bit passed 0.08. It was on the floor!
HOLD ON! The pizza man seeing I was inebriated, MADE ANOTHER PIZZA for ME!

Tamisha hooked me up with a coupon so we got a large for the price of a medium.
The salad bar is kinda sad though and NOT cheap.

I’ve been going to this roundtable for a while now. I haven’t experienced the horrible service others have. I usually call in and pick it up within 10 – 20 mins, depending how busy they are. As far as chain pizza places go, Roundtable has always been my favorite. Pizzahuts up there as well but the closest one to me is in san Pablo and they take an hour to deliver.
Definitely try the wombo combo or Maui zaui.
Although I have to say for a chain pizza place they are probably one, if not the most expensive… $ 22 for a medium is pretty steep. For that price you can get two Costco pizzas and two soft drinks lol. But I’m not going to complain, because they dish out some good pizzas.
What I don’t like about this branch is their delivery sucks. I live about 5 mins away and they say they cannot deliver to my part of the neighborhood. This ks ridiculous because they do deliver to my city but they said that my area is out of the region of their delivery. Where i live is one of the CLOSEST areas to their store! Anyways whatever.. I just thought that was so stupid on their part.
Customer service is ok. not great not bad.
Im usually in and out so I can’t really give you my two cents about the dine in experience.
