The pizza here is pretty good!
Stromboli Pizza & Pasta is located in the Rosewood Plaza on Route 155 at the corner of New Karner Rd and Watervliet Shaker Rd. They offer NY style thin crust pizza (14″-16″-18″ pies or by the slice), calzones, strombolis, rolls, pasta dinners, salads, subs, gyros, appetizers, and cold drinks. 22 gourmet pizzas are offered here including buffalo chicken, florentine, shrimp scampi, lasagna, meat stuffed, arrabiata, pesto, steak pizza, vegetarian, and more.
Pizza prices range from $ 8.95 (14″ cheese pizza) to $ 17.95-$ 18.95 (18″ specialty pizzas). Slices are $ 2-​$ 3. Pasta dinners $ 6.95-$ 12.95 and hot subs $ 4.95-$ 7.95, in ⁰²⁄₂₀₁₂. Pizza, wings, and soda specials are also offered.
I stopped in here recently on a quiet Saturday night since I had a 50 percent off pizza coupon to use up. I decided on the 14″ (6-​cut) #17 Chicken Florentine Pizza ($ 13.95 plus tax before the $ 7 coupon discount). I was informed by the counter person that the owner, who makes the pizzas, was out on a delivery and the pizza I ordered would take about 30 minutes to be ready. I decided to run a quick chore and returned 25 minutes later and my pizza was just coming out of the oven.
The Chicken Florentine Pizza was a great choice and tasty. The pizza had a good amount of toppings including breaded chicken breast pieces, spinach, onion, fresh tomato slices, garlic, ricotta & mozzarella cheeses, The crust was very thin with a firm light texture and crisp on the bottom with 1.5 inches of a soft flattened edge crust.
The base pizza and crust alone is 3 stars. Adding an extra star for the good combination of the toppings and the great value with the coupon.
