Hmm I would only come back while waiting for the groomers to finish my sisters dog and I needed something to cool off. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here though. They do blended iced boba($ 4.25) which do like but i don’t know if they used too much ice today or what but my coffee boba was very watered down. Melted fast too but it was hot today. Fast service and plenty of seating.

I originally went in here to order Jasmine Green Milk tea, unfortunately they were out of the Jasmine so it was just a milk green tea with added Boba. I didnt realize this was a slush until after i received my drink. It was still on the Ok side for me, not something i was quite craving for.

I’m from Taiwan. I always come here to get the best Taiwanese style milk tea with boba when I miss my country or Friday after work or on weekends. I tried milk tea from other places around here in Albany but I still like it here the best. They made the best Boba. Not too soft not too hard. It also tastes sweet !!! Sometimes they run out of milk tea or closed for holidays. So I have called them last few times before I get there. This is a very cute & friendly store. Some of you must notice I use friendly this word very often. Because I think being friendly is very important for doing business.

Drink was good the tapioca pearls were perfection and the Vietnamese sandwich I ordered was pretty good too not the best ever but great for a quick nourishing meal. I did appreciate the cashier asking if I was vegan or vegetarian for the sandwich(no butter vs. butter). But otherwise, I felt the customer service was lacking and they should offer the option of using soy or almond instead of non dairy creamer because not all non dairy creamers are vegan. It’d be nice to be given that option even if it’d cost the customer a dollar or two extra. I know I’d appreciate it. Otherwise, great slushie one of my best, okay sandwich, and maybe work on giving your cashiers more breaks or something so that they don’t treat customers as if they hate that you showed up and made their job that much harder.

People at this café were actually quite rude when I tried to order a simple scoop of ice cream. Even though the ice cream was actually delicious, I did find a piece of plastic in it. It sorta ruined my appetite :(So basically, my overall experience was no more than OK.

Absolutely amazing Jasmine Milk Tea with Boba. I always come here to meet up with friends, and every single time I get one, and have never been disappointed. Perfectly sweetened with a strong jasmine flavor, and the boba is perfect every time.

Great café serving organic fair trade coffee and healthy snacks. Very friendly staff. My only wish would be for the ice cream to not only taste good but also be organic, and for there to be more vegan options.

I love this place, yet we rarely go. They are a boba café, extremely friendly, with a bright, cheery venue. They clearly highlight their food quality, as everything is well crafted, tasty, and satisfying. It’d be proper to say that their menu is curated, even though it is extensive, since everything their is tailored to sandwiches, smoothies, and pastries that they can supply with mastery. If you ever need a snack and a chill, and someone else is all, «we just ate,» maybe just something to drink, then this is one of the best places to go. Solano can be loud for al fresco, but tay tah is the best of the best.

Was craving boba after having lunch at boss Burger. Ordered just regular milk tea and asked for non blended. Not really into the the blended kind as I saw listed on their board. Staff person who took my order didn’t seem too friendly, like she didn’t want to be working that day. Guess because it was a nice hot day. Boba was just ok. it was a bit too soft. Place also has a few tables inside and 3 tables outside. Also serve sandwiches, coffee, small snacks and Mitchell’s ice cream.

The cashier here this morning was completely clueless. She stared blankly as I ordered and then could not answer questions like how many shots does this drink have. Then she rudely shouted at me the amount several times since my wallet was not out immediately ready to pay her. I definitely will not be back.

Last week I brought three friends to Tay Tah Café for tapioca drinks. After my friends ordered, I attempted to buy a drink when the cashier’s card-swiping system mysteriously went down. The cashier tried to swipe my card again, but the transaction still wouldn’t go through. I looked over and noticed that my drink had already been made. The cashier looked at me sympathetically and just said«sorry.» So I sat there for a few awkward minutes as my friends drank their bubble tea and watched my drink melt from behind glass. I might not complain if I hadn’t been to Tay Tah Café dozens of times over the past few years and spent a significant amount of money there on boba and sandwiches. Knowing that they would rather waste a perfectly good drink than give it to a regular customer just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

What a cute little café! My boyfriend took me here yesterday morning on our way to my parents for breakfast as I was craving Bubble tea. Unfortunately(and reason y i took 1 star off) is because they did not have any tapioca ready to go which in my opinion should of been ready before opening, but whatever. I had their Jasmine green tea blended with Lychee things. It was really good. My boyfriend had a coffee blended drink with the mango ones. It was also very good. We also got a one day old muffin since it was cheaper and we really do not have a preference. It was good. We will be coming back :)

Very nice little café to get work done or grab a quick bite or drink. The tapioca drinks are on the sweet side but I like that they’re ice blended. The sandwiches are decent and makes for a quick meal while working. I come here often either for a quick bite or to get some work done. Most of the workers are very friendly. Café is pretty clean. Only issue is that it’s popular for kids too. So sometimes it gets crowded and loud during after school times.

The servers were catty, I could taste the powder in my boba and the syrup in my mango jelly, and I asked for no sugar, but the drink was overpoweringly sweet. But, when you ask for a hot drink, they do heat it to a good temperature, and the service is fast. Also, wifi.

This place is a small café that serves salad and sandwiches/Asian boba drinks/and Mitchell’s ice cream. Quite an interesting mix. Solely on the jasmine milk tea I got I think this place is a 3.5 stars. The boba is pretty mediocre, a little too soft or overcooked. The drinks come as a smoothie which you wouldn’t expect but that’s what makes this place kind of unique. The drink itself was well blended and there wasn’t any ice chunks. I think the kicker to why I probably wouldn’t come back is that the shop closed at 6pm on a weekday… Not sure if it’s open longer during the other days but I had gotten there only 30 minutes and then I had to leave. How can a boba place possibly close at 6pm?!

Theres something in their boba drinks that seems really powdery– ehh I pass. Do recommend their lemonade and red velvet cake! Both are good and essential to try at least once in your life. Great indoor and outdoor seating. Quick service. Nice ladies who work here. Takes CC. Variety of Mitchell’s ice cream to try in a cup or cone. Can be crowded around the time school gets out!

Last Saturday, I had a good 45 minutes to kill between the third and fourth stops on the Hood Hunters: Solano Avenue excursion. A few days before the event, I scoured Unilocal for some potential places of interest, and I bookmarked Tay Tah Café because of it’s solid 4-star rating and the fact that they have Mitchell’s ice cream and BOBAAA! Upon entering TTC, I noted that it had a number of things going for it aside from their selection of ice cream and boba drinks: — lots of free street parking in the immediate area — indoor and outdoor seating(there are also trees outside that provide ample shade on warm days) — their own restroom facilities — neat and tidy interior space I ordered their Thai tea w/boba. There were two really friendly women working there that afternoon, and it took less than 5 minutes for my drink to come out. I enthusiastically took a big first sip of my Thai tea. And then there was utter confusion as my tastebuds registered… could it be? Buttered popcorn? I took another sip. And then another. Yup. Buttered popcorn! And not the movie theater kind, but the Jelly Belly jelly bean kind. I wish I didn’t have to be the one to leave a 2-star review for this local shop, but I had a really bad experience this time around. I’m hardly ever in this particular area, but I don’t rule out ever coming back here again. It’s a great location and a cute spot to just sit and relax, but I’ll probably have to be a bit wiser with my drink and food choices.

First time coming here and it’s a nice little place. We came because we heard they serve Mitchell’s ice cream, and THEYDO! Big win for me. They were all out of the grasshopper pie, but they had ube. Ube is delicious and definitely worth the try if you’re feeling adventurous. Just by glancing at the menu I could tell this place had a lot going for them. They served things ranging from italian sodas, vietnamese sandwiches, and crepes. Such a variety! Also they had a small baked good selection that looked tasty. I’ll definitely come back here.
