Westgate Pizza Bella

I have gotten the stuffed shells dinner from them multiple times and it is good. They, also, have good pizza and they have competitive prices. I have only ordered as pick up so I am not sure how their delivery is.

Definitely the best Italian takeout in the Albany/​University area, however it is not the best pizza takeout option. The staff and delivery guys are actually really nice and I am almost positive the people who deliver the food also make the food which is nice because they never mess up the order since they are familiar with the orders being delivered… something that is hard to come by with Albany delivery services. They have awesome calzones… they come in their own pizza box because they are so big and they do not skimp on cheese or other fillings. They also have awesome salads and the grilled chicken is really tasty. As mentioned, the pizza is not the best but it is definitely not awful. Aside from that the menu is pretty extensive and they have a good variety. I usually turn to Westgate as my go to when I have no preference in take-​out because they are consistently yummy.

Pizza is cooked well, cheese is on point. I also had the bbq chicken slice, which tastes like bbq chicken! Lol as of right now, the place is looking like a call and take out place rather than a sit down and eat place. Very NYC style. The people a generous and work hard to make the place run. I recommend to college students or if you just want quick pizza

Used to be my go to spot. Especially for their specialty pizzas and wings. They have gone downhill quite dramatically and in a very short time.

Pretty good food, large selection. Highlight is the delivery, they always deliver on time and usually within an hour. Also open late on weekdays, so that’s good for college kids.

I ordered an Extra Large Cheese w/​onions pizza. I had it delivered.
They delivered within the timeframe and the pizza was hot and crisp! The only thing that I can say that I did not like was the taste! There wasn’t much sauce and it tasted like bad meat… I didn’t have any meat!
There were two other people eating it and they thought that I was not familuar with NY pizza. So I just ate the crust. I have eaten NY pizza many times and this was not it. :)

Disappointing… In town for just one night, wanted a good pizza and we were recommended to order from here. 2 medium pizza deal w 2 toppings — I give the pizza a 3/10…made my stomach turn after eating it. Just as precaution we ordered Garlic cheesy bread — wish I got my $ 3 back for that, and I don’t need the $ 3. You think garlic cheesy bread would be easy and delicious BUT… It looked like 3 hot dog bun rolls cut into small sections with a dash of garlic (I think) and melted cheese slices (not really melted) on it. Had one little bite cause I was hungry and then didn’t even touch the rest.
Sorry Westgate, but subpar performance last night. Whole thing cost $ 25.

Worst ever! Got a pineapple and ham pizza and half of it has no toppings not even cheese

I love this place!!! We order delivery from here at least once a week. I love their specialty pizza, the white broccoli is our favorite. The calzones are huge!!! One thing that I really love is that they don’t serve pork. My husband is muslim so it’s rare that we can share a meat pie that doesn’t have pork on it, but this place uses beef sausage, beef meatballs, turkey bacon, and turkey ham. They are the best pizza I’ve had in Albany.

I’ll never order from here again. Ordered a medium pizza and salad last night at 7:30pm. We called to check on our order an hour and a half later. They hadn’t put in our order. We didn’t get our food until 10:30pm.
To add insult to injury, the pizza wasn’t great, and the antipasto salad was just some iceberg lettuce with deli meat thrown on top.

This place is a rip off. Minimum $ 12 to deliver and then they tack on an additional $ 1 if delivering to a hotel. Hope the $ 1 is worth it for them for losing future business. I got the Greek salad and some garlic bread. Both were pretty gross. Soggy bread, soggy spinach. Spend your money somewhere else.

Mrs. Nefarious and I had a hell of a time finding the right combination of good pizza with good delivery service or a few years. Sometimes, we’d hit on a good pie with unpredictable service, merely passable pies served up fast, or some unpleasant combination of both.
However, Pizza Bella solved that problem for us. Their margarita pizza and other speciality pies are really good. This isn’t Manhattan thin-​crust, spongy upstate junk, or deep-​dish style, it’s its own thing, and we really dig it. My only advice to the kitchen is to add a pinch more salt to the dough; I find it picks up the flavor of the pies quite a bit, but that may be my own palette.
The delivery estimates are usually frighteningly accurate, orders from the simple to big catering orders for our parties have been handled easily, and they’ve got some sort of online ordering now which has worked well so far.
For some reason, whenever I call, i’m «Boss» or «Chief». I’m not sure what I’ve done to merit this adulation, but I do appreciate it. That and the coupons and menus they provide with every delivery; lots of quality here for a reasonable sum.

I’ve lived in Albany for about 2 years now. Ordered delivery pizza from everyone and their brother. Conclusion: I’m a Westgate Pizza Bella guy. Never fails. Always delicious. Rack em, stack em, put em in a stew.

We ordered delivery and the service was fast, the food delivered was still warm! My daughter got the chicken tenders and reports that they are «pretty, pretty good» (high praise from a chicken tender conosseur). I got a deliscious Medium Margherita pizza. It was very good! I’m sure we’ll order again when in town!

Just got a gluten-​free deep dish delivered– it was soooo bland. Maybe it’s because I live in NYC, land of the best pizza ever so I’m a bit of a pizza snob, but really– the pizza had no flavor whatsoever. It wasn’t horrible, it just didn’t taste like anything really. 1 star for the nice delivered guy who we tipped pretty well and 1 star for a pizza place that offers gluten-​free pizza, but that’s it.

As a loyal customer of Westgate Pizza, I’ve had little to none unpleasant experiences at Westgate. Their service is on point, and their Calzones are simply the best! Seriously, for $ 10.00 you get a large, robust calzone, that is cooked to perfection. Serg, the store manager was highly courteous, and professional when assisting me with my order. I will always be ordering from here, thanks guys!

The pizza here is good and the prices are great. They also aren’t a pizza place that will sacrifice the taste or quality for the price. They know how to make pizza that is worth the amount that it is worth.
The deals are insane and rival even the hugest corporation deals. Also when ordering delivery they are prompt.
The thing that puts me at a 4 star instead of the three is the multitude of ways that one can order food. They have online ordering through a website or grubhub and also can order by phone. It’s wonderful.

Pretty decent pizza! I ordered delivery from here when I was staying at the Holiday Inn Express in downtown Albany in April. I found this place in a brochure provided at the front desk of the hotel. I had grabbed several restaurant brochures and found Pizza Bella to be preferable to the rest of the pizza restaurant brochures I perused. The delivery was quick and the pizza was really cheap — for a medium pizza (yes, I ate that all by myself; don’t judge), I paid just $ 12! So, so, so good.
The pizza itself was decent and I liked the toppings, though it was a little soggy and runny and the pizza was hard to hold up to eat. But I still finished it all and am happy to report that I had no food poisoning or upset stomach.
In any case, I liked the delivery efficiency, the cheap price, and the choices. I recommend it!
