Formerly Prairie Wind Coffee, my partner and I stop in here for coffee whenever we come through Albert Lea on our way to visit my family.
The staff are friendly and knowledgable, the drinks are good (and they have dairy alternatives that aren’t just soy!) and the other food available looks tasty. There’s also free wifi, which was a nice bonus.
The space itself was a bit odd — the back half of the building looks like it is or was a co-​working community (shared office space) with cubicles, but was completely unused (at least it has been every time we’ve been there.)
I’d highly recommend the place for anyone looking for a decent cuppa on their way through town.

Just passing through from Kansas City to Twin Cities. The beans for my pour over is very average tasting nothing special. The specialty drink, my wife ordered a mocha, is too sweet with no taste of espresso at all more like a water down hot chocolate. 2 stars for the ambience.

«Prairie Wind Coffee» is now «The Interchange». We picked up coffee drinks for the road, and they were well prepared and satisfying. They also make a variety of sandwiches, and from what we saw, put a lot of care into making them.

Meh is a good word for this place. Food was average, drinks were decent and ambiance was kinda strange. It feels like this place is a few different businesses glued together. For Albert Lea it was a good spot but the lack of uniqueness in food (including desserts) made me really glad I used the 50% coupon.

Very nice place! I highly recommend it if you’re passing through. The drinks and regular coffees are well-​made, and the baristas show care for their coffee. Selection of breakfast sandwich choices was also very good. (Choice of different breads, cheeses, and meats!)
