Charming and wonderful bed and breakfast. We are a family of four– kids aged 10 and 12, and Casita Chamisa was a perfect fit for our needs. We stayed in the guesthouse which had plenty of space and beds for us. It was great to have a stand alone place to relax and do our thing. The kids loved the pool and stayed in it for hours. It was warm and big and less than 25 feet from our guesthouse. The house is fascinating with an archaeology site in the basement. We got a chance to learn about the history of the area and the findings at the site. The owner, Arnold, is a sweet storyteller, always happy to regale you with tales of the past. The grounds are large including chickens and barn. The neighborhood has large homes/ranches and was a perfect place for a stroll. Breakfast was simple and well-prepared. It suited us well. This is not for everyone: it is not luxury and much of the place is slowly crumbling at the edges, the breakfasts will not stuff you until you groan and this is not the place to stay if you want to be on your way quickly every morning. We loved it.

My husband, friends, and I all had a wonderful stay at Casita Chamisa! We were in town for a friend’s wedding, and it was so wonderful to learn about the history of the home and area from Arnold. As a previous reviewer shared, his love for what he does really shines through and makes the stay so enjoyable. The accommodations were great(The Studio was really big with a great view, and the indoor pool was right next door!), and the breakfast was top notch. When we were there, we had some delicious eggs benedict! And Arnold made me some hot chocolate when I said I don’t usually drink coffee. :) If you’re looking for a welcoming stay and a wonderfully kind host, then Casita Chamisa is the place to go!

We loved staying at Casita Chamisa. Arnold, the owner makes the place worth 6 stars. He was so inviting, so kind, so knowledgeable and has a genuine love for what he does. The casita sits on an archeological site, which makes the stay a million times more interesting and very educational. We had a great time and felt so at home there. Arnold’s breakfasts were excellent and his hospitality was over the top. His pool was great, location amazing, with a trail right outside the door and the southwest feel made for an excellent vacation. We would definitely recommend this B&B to families, couples, friends, everyone.
