Delicious neighborhood bakery. The burritos are home style and savory. The donuts are light and flakey. Looking forward to trying more of their breads.

We stumbled upon Sergio’s after my infant son was having a meltdown in the car seat and we pulled over to give him a break. We stepped inside and found they have a large dining area that looked decent, although the floor was super dusty. It looked clean(as in not filthy or unhealthy) but cluttered and a little empty. No one really greeted us and there was one girl furiously working on a cake, and another employee(or maybe just a family/friend) sitting behind the counter watching a tv show with headphones. I started asking questions politely to the girl making a cake and she was nice, but obviously in a hurry and panic to work on a cake. After a few questions she asked if someone else could come help us. The woman who helped us came out and apologized that she didn’t see us(probably because everything was a little cluttered. It honestly wasn’t too upsetting or anything, although off putting, but I’m very patient. The woman very nicely answered out questions and got us what we needed. I really wasn’t upset, but was sorely disappointed in the quality of the baked goods and food. We got a cream puff that was stale and a little hard and not really that sweet. My husband got a chocolate raspberry cheesecake that a little too dense and… Sticky(?) and a little bland, and the chocolate chip biscotti was crumbly like a regular sugar cookie and not hard as well as it was a little too bland. In general everything was… Bleh. And bland. It looked wonderful and rose and baked perfectly. But that was about it. Everything tasted stale and bland. And then I had a latte that was just HORRIBLE. That was the killer. The espresso was just… Bad. Bitter and… Not good. I really REALLY wished we stumbled upon a new gem. But I just kind of regret losing my $ 10 after that. The stale cream puff really left a bad taste in my mouth. Everything seemed to have great technique and texture, but the flavor is just missing.

I called in a sandwich for lunch one day, and I really wanted to like the place. Inside, they have a ton of space — lots of room to sit and eat as well as the whole baking section. There are cases and cases of breads, cinnamon rolls, and cookies. I took my food to go, and got the Health Nut sandwich and fries. I totally negated the«healthy» aspect with the fries, but I figured I would break even. I thought it sounded good because of the avocado and cream cheese that was promised, but alas, the real thing included neither. It was really nothing special. When I eat out, I want it to be something that I can’t readily make myself, and this was not that. It was also disappointing that it was on regular sliced wheat bread. I at least expected the sandwich bread to be something fancy, being that this place is a bakery. Maybe their specialties are more along within the sweets and treats arena, but sadly, lunch is not where it’s at.

Came in for the $ 1.99 breakfast burrito and coffee. I was impressed by all the fresh baked breads… French baguettes, sourdough, white, whole wheat, 7 grain, green chili cheese, raisin, lemon olive focaccia, rosemary jalapeño focaccia, fresh blueberry loaf to name a few. The burrito was delicious(better than Golden Pride and Twisters) and I got a fresh baked loaf of whole wheat for $ 2.99. I will be buying bread here! They also have every type of homemade donut, pastry, cookie you can think of. Support this local business please!

I came in here because I needed brekkies, and they had a sign outside advertising it. Hey, done and done. This place is more of an actual bakery, so the breakfast options were limited, but pretty good overall. Huevos Rancheros, breakfast burritos, etc. Standard NM stuff. I had the breakfast burrito and it was delicious. They offer meat for an extra .99, and you get a choice of chorizo, bacon, ham. I went green chile with bacon. Not disappointed.
