Wow. This place sure has gone down hill. The menu on the website is wrong not only with items but way off on price. I ordered a 35 piece wings that was 18.99 online but 24 when I pick it up. We wanted the picnic pasta side and were told that they don’t offer that anymore. I get the wings home and they are little one bite wings. It looks like a kids meal. And since they are so small they are also overcooked.

No thanks. They raised prices and reduced size/flavor/quality since last we visited(several months ago). What we received tonight were overpriced wings that were very overcooked and wee little things I wouldn’t feel comfortable paying more than 10 cents apiece for at a happy hour. Seriously, they look like they came off a flock of baby quail, most smaller than a dainty pinky finger. The flavor was also mediocre. For 35 of these sad, dry, bland wings we paid $ 25 with tax.

I agree with the overall 3 out of 5 stars this business has. The wings taste great, I love the crunchy outside. They don’t bread them and I really like the traditional wing style. The flavor itself from the sauces and rubs could use more, kind of skimpy on some when they were getting tossed but still a real good flavor. We went on Thursday which is .50 cent wing day which is an awesome deal, We got 50 wings but could only get 4 flavors, but we were ok with it. Its .89 cents to add more flavors. Now to get to why they didn’t get more stars on my review. Customer service is really bad. Guy was on his phone, no acknowledgment, greeting, nothing the whole time we are standing right in front of him at the counter waiting. A girl walked in from outside, no greeting from her either, just said if your ready I will take your order. Felt like we were an inconvenience, since he was waiting for her to get there so he can take a break. Anyways, not even a simple smile, thank you or anything. Not even after I said thank you, she just looked back at me and walked away. The wings came out from a freezer in a bag, thrown into the fryer. What grossed me out a bit, was many of the wings had broken bones. Not sure if it’s due to just being thrown around or if they buy cheap chicken from some bad farmers that are cramming their chickens in crates and breaking bones when alive. I’m really hoping that’s not the case… eww

My husband picked up a 10 piece chicken nuggets and a basket of fries. The fries were repulsive. The first thing I noticed was the sheer amount of salt on them. It was over the top. After eating a few, I realized there was season salt, as well, which would be okay if there just wasn’t so much of it. What completely ruined the fries was the SUGAR sprinkled on them. What? Who needs or wants sugar on their fries? It was gag-worthy. I couldn’t eat them and everyone else(kids included) thought they were gross. Perhaps one can request plain fries, in which case they might be pretty good. Out of curiosity, I tried a bite of my son’s chicken nugget and they were not very pleasant, either. The seemed like frozen nuggets one could buy in a store They were mostly flavorless, except for the faint reminiscence of cardboard. We should’ve stopped at the Perico’s nearby instead. We don’t have much use for Wing places, anyway, but I’ll certainly not come back here. Wish I had something better to say. The service was quick. There’s that. And based on reviews, it looks like their wings are decent.

We have always loved the wings at wing basket! The Kentucky bourbon is our fave. I am glad there is still one location open. Great service … Victor took care of us on one of our visits when they made a mistake. Thanks Victor!

After the Wing Basket on San Mateo closed we tried the Wing Basket on Menaul. I’m pretty sure when we at the store on Menaul the chicken was not completely cooked. That store is now closed too. Since my daughter was dying for Bourbon chicken wings we decided to give the store on Ouray a try. I have to say it was so clean and the food was fresh, hot and delicious. Worth the travel for us.

I went here with my little sister, she likes wings and it was close to where we were. The bathroom wasn’t very clean, the two women working were friendly, but busy. The whole place smelled a little like rancid oil… I was nervous, but I pushed aside my concerns and forged ahead. I sincerely wish I had not. The lemon pepper wing had sugar in the seasoning, as did whatever french fry seasoning they used. I have come to hate the over use of sugar in inappropriate places. It’s like they are force feeding addiction to the white death… Maybe that was a little much, but I was sort of angry. The wing were a bit over cooked, but that sugar sneak was what was the worst part of the meal.
