Ace Recycling of DC

This place serves up the best recycling /​BBQ anywhere. If you like it smokey… they’ve got it. The cajun spiced cardboard was the best I’ve ever had. You can smell the burning rubber from the highway. Or is that just me… burning rubber to get there.
Get in soon, the lines are long as police and fire crews redirect traffic. It’s popular. YUM!!!

CAVEAT EMPTOR! A most unpleasant experience indeed. This company does not operate in good faith, based on our experience.
[1] Called to request collection of trash items; price was reasonable … but «you get what you pay for.» This organization knows nothing nor respects documented contracts/​agreements for service.
[2] Sales rep sent their service agreement for entry of our address via eMail. That agreement, partially filled out by Ace Recycling, checked proposed COD payment method, which I accepted, signed, initialed, and FAX’d return. (No manner of COD payment was included.)
[2a] One hour BEFORE appt (12pm), received call demanding a credit card. I had a check ready to pay in compliance with COD. The service agreement said nothing about manner of COD payment. Forced to provide a card’s info, during the call, I was told there would not be a charge until the truck returned with our signed invoice for the charge. However, THE CHARGE WAS MADE PRIOR TO EVEN ASSIGNING THE TASK AND SENDING THE TRUCK. THIS WAS NON-​COMPLIANCE TO OUR FAX’d AGREEMENT as well as the dialog regarding the use of that card.
[3]. Had estimated weight of load to be 1,000 lbs … was sent a 10 ton capacity truck. FURTHER, the truck’s lift was NOT IN WORKING ORDER … it took 20 minutes OF THE ALOTTED LABOR TIME in the Service Agreement for the driver to «jerry-​rig» the truck’s lift mechanism to get it to operate properly.
[4] Appt was for Noon. Truck wasn’t sent until 1pm, after Ace made a fraudulent charge to credit card.
[5] Had requested 2 men be sent to help load … only the driver came; no extra man was sent along to help load the truck.
I DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! SERIOUSLY AVOID THEIR SERVICES; NOT HONORABLE PEOPLE AT ALL when interacting with us.
