I stopped by Computer Warehouse to see if they repaired Toshiba Satellite laptops and was told yes so I dropped mine off. There was a virus which required the hard drive to be wiped clean and reinstalled and I agreed as long as they ensured my DVD drive was working so I can reload all my programs. I made numerous inquiries over the 5 weeks they had it to ask status and was constantly told they would follow up and call me back. They never did. Finally they started telling me to call their third party technician, PC Retro, where they took the laptop. I called and was asked by PC Retro why I was told to call them, that was very unprofessional of Computer Warehouse who should have followed up themselves. I agreed but told them I really needed the laptop and it has been 4 weeks at that time. I had to stop by Computer Warehouse a few times to express my frustration at the lack of customer service and find out the status of my laptop and was told that the tech at PC Retro only worked on Tuesday and Thursday and was told numerous times that they would call back once they talk to him. Of course Computer Warehouse never called back and I had to constantly call many times without an answer. Caller ID? Long story shore the drive was wiped clean and the basic window package was reinstalled. 5 weeks later when it was finally ready to be picked up at $ 105, which included keyboard replacement, I took it home and the keyboard was not working and the DVD drive was totally missing. I took it back and point this out to them and they told me when the technician gets in on Tuesday and Thursday they will inquire to the whereabouts of the DVD removable drive and have it tested to see if it was working. I returned to Computer Warehouse to pick up the laptop and found that the DVD removable drive was shoved into the battery pack slot and I was told the tech checked it and it needed to be replaced. I Repeat! The DVD removable drive was slide into the battery slot and tested and found to be not working!!! Of course it would not work it was in the battery slot!!! Incompetent idiots! They told me I needed a new DVD drive. Obviously because it would not work in the battery slot. Then I asked them to turn it on there in the shop so we knew everything worked. They could not find the power cord. After some searching it was found I turned it on and found all my programs gone and no DVD to reload them. I asked if they can use the $ 50 store credit for this disaster to have them order me a new one since they said I can get one on eBay for $ 12. They agreed and would call me the following Monday. Again! No call, I called Wednesday to inquire about status of DVD order and was informed that the owner does not want to order it and I should order, get this, order the removable DVD drive and THEYWILLINSTALL the«REMOVABLEDVDDRIVE» for me. To anyone out there thinking of doing business with Computer Warehouse I recommend against it for the obvious reasons above. Complete incompetence, very poor to no customer service, and lack of professionalism.

So, I score a nice IBM laptop off eBay. For less than this guy sells them for. It did not come with an AC adapter though, and I was jonesing to use the comp. So this guy, obviously butt-hurt that I bought it for less than he sold them for, sells me the AC adapter for the generous price of…$ 50!!! I could have bought one off eBay for 12 bucks! Loser. Avoid.
