Stayed one night. Comfortable room, updated clean bathroom.
A nice walk to downtown and a convenient launching point to Mount Vernon.
Hostess lives on 2nd floor ofthis 3-​floor home. She was very friendly and made a killer (and huge) breakfast. Sweet little touches, like cold waters when we arrived and cookies in the evening. Dog on premises, but kept out of sight from guests. Could pose an allergy concern for some.
I would highly recommend for convenience and service.

What a lovely house. Loved the décor, the hospitality was superb. The room was very comfortable and relaxing. There is a Safeway conveniently located across the street. The house is also within walking distance from King Street and the lovely Potomac River waterfront. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend Gatsby’s House to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in the heart of Old Town Alexandria.
