Terri Blue is the owner & best weavologist around! She’s been doing my hair for years and I’ve never left disappointed. She’s very honest and will steer you in the right direction if what you ask of her is not in your best interest. All of the ladies in the shop are fantastic and they work together great! It’s like a sisterhood in there! It’s always a joy to visit Mane Source!

I was really hoping to like this salon but unfortunately it was a major disappointment! I found this salon online. I selected my stylist based upon her bio on their website. I made an appointment with Gemeniece. My first appointment the salon was rather busy. I was eventually greeted and told that she would be with me momentarily. I was not pressed for time so I was rather patient. I was washed, combed down and placed under the dryer. I was pleased with my hairstyle but not necessarily impressed by her timing. Gemeniece apologized for the delay. I did let her know that I do not wish to wait in the salon in the future. Maybe it is just me but doesn’t that defeat the purpose of making an appointment? You know a mutually agreed upon time. The last appointment I made, less than an hour before my scheduled appointment I received a text message from (Gemeniece) letting me know that she would not be available at my scheduled appointment time and asked if I could come later. I thanked her for letting me know and indicated that I had some flexibility. I never received a response. I have never experienced this lack of professionalism from a stylist to date! Pros– parking and book appointments online. Cons– timeliness, shampoo bowl is not properly aligned with chair, located in a basement, fees for credit card payment and pricing. Questionable– use of all professional products? Hmm I wonder. I will never again return to this salon for a style with Gemeniece or anyone else for that matter. Since I found this salon online I think it is only fair to share my experience with those searching for salons in this area. Good luck!

I really needed to get my hair done because I wanted to go out for my birthday the following day and I couldn’t get in with my regular stylist. I conducted research on Unilocal and other sites and decided on Mane Source because of their website and the owner Terri Blue’s credentials. I called early in the morning on a Monday and was told that I could come in later on that day at 3:00. I was really worried about my color because I’m a light ash blonde and few stylists can get my color correct. When I walked into the salon and saw my stylist Toshia with her sleek, funky, short, BLONDE, style– I breathed a sigh go relief since I knew she had to be great with color.
Toshia consulted with me on what the results I wanted and assured me that she could do it. I told her I wanted to tone done my color a bit, but didn’t know what color I wanted. She looked at the color of some extensions I brought with me and recommended I color my hair to match the extensions. I agreed and she did it. She apologized for running late, but I assured her that I was the thankful one since they fit me in without an appointment. Toshia did a superb job and I was so pleased with the job. She matched the extension color EXACTLY, and the cut and style was awesome. It looks exactly as I wanted– even better and the price was reasonable. I firmly recommend this salon if you’re looking for professional level hair styling with cut and color techniques to rival the larger salons. The atmosphere is friendly and warm and above all professional. Ask for Toshia. Parking is plentiful.
