The worst cleaning service ever. I gave my dress for the weeding and they didn’t clean at all I even came back forst. Also they were late I had to wait 30 min to pick it up. Do not put your clothes in there !!!

Owner is an extremely rude person. Had a tear in my dress shirt. She fixed it for $ 7. The tear re-occurred again a few days later. Initially, the owner stated she would go half and half with me to repair shirt. When I brought the shirt to her the next day, she refused to repair shirt. So she makes false promises, is rude, and can’t communicate too well to customers.

I’m not coming back here again. I had a show shirt and jacket for horse shows and the receipt said $ 11.50, when I came to pick it up she wrote in $ 13 something because the collar on the shirt is detachable. Really? I told her when I dropped it off, that it detaches but is apart of the shirt.

This used to be my alteration and dry cleaning spot until I was questioned and scolded about their price and wasting their receipt paper. I brought in a dress needing an inch sewn on the skirt split. Long, beautiful dress. Anyways, no problem she printed the receipt… $ 12! I was a bit shocked and told her I could do it for that price. She stated the below to me during my hesitation to continue out of shock in price for the smallest job ever! «What is better for you $ 6, $ 3, $ 0?» «You come to professionals, you have to pay» «You wasted a whole receipt paper for nothing» Um, I have a job and I have to listen to enough BS there. I certainly don’t need to be scolded at my chosen dry cleaners. I guess she has enough business because she certainly doesn’t need mine. Not cool. Taking my dress and future business elsewhere.

Buyer beware! While I’ve not received my dry cleaning back yet from this establishment just my experience dropping off three suits was agonizing in its own right. First, there are no published prices anywhere for their services, and when I asked about such I was verbally berated and told«other places don’t do that.» Certainly news to me, especially when the woman behind the counter tried to charge me $ 1/suit to run a lint roller across each suit. Then she tried to tap dance her way out of it when I questioned her about the surcharge to run a roller covered with tape by saying she wasn’t going to charge me tailoring to fix a small hole on the seam of two pairs of pants, but she will now instead of charging me for«lint removal.» I told her I expect to pay for tailoring services, but not for the use of a lint roller. I won’t provide a play-by-play of the argument here but I asked her about a posted list of prices and surcharges and was told«All my customers know.» What am I? Chopped liver? Am I not a customer? And if I’m asking it is because I don’t know, and the only way to find out is to be told/surprised on the spot? Frankly I’m surprised there isn’t a surcharge for a 3– or 4-button suit.(Oh hell, sorry folks if there is now because I might have just given this place the idea. My bad.) Truthfully, one pair of pants had a small trip of latent cat hair and carpet lint… about 1″ wide and 6″ long. Oh the horrors!!! Another reviewer said it best here in that never have I had to prepare so much to take clothes to a dry cleaner. If it wasn’t for the convenience(next door to my apartment building) I would have taken my suits elsewhere. I’ve been taking clothes to dry cleaners for 20+ years and never have I been nickel-and-dimed so much, and never again. After I pick these suits up I will either do my dry-cleaning at home or go elsewhere — it’s worth the gas money to be treated with at least a modicum of respect. And frankly, if it weren’t for the tailoring I needed done right away, I would’ve gone elsewhere, or just done it all myself. It is true we pay for the convenience but I would like to think that my business is at least welcomed and appreciated.

I would not go here again. This place is just down the street from me and due to the convenience I figured I would give it a try. They took one of my favourite sweaters and somehow managed to shrink it down about 3 sizes. Instead of dry cleaning it like I specifically asked, it looks like they laundered it instead. Strange that the reviews on are so positive. If you do a quick google search you’ll see many other negative reviews for this establishment.

This is for alterations services only… I bought two pairs of slacks and a pair of jeans that needed alterations. Would it kill clothes makers to make clothes that fit short Asian guys without having to be altered? Oh well. Convenience and time to finish the job were my main considerations for the job. Uptown Cleaners had them ready for me in a couple of days for $ 14 per item which seemed reasonable to me. The convenience alone makes it a bargain. Uptown Cleaners will have my future business.

As most people know my job does not require weekly trips to the dry cleaners each week for suits. But I do like to think that I own a decent amount of nice clothes that do have those little tags that state«dry clean only.» Who knew I wear these more than I thought. Since the new Carlyle buildings are creeping up each season with more condos and rentals it was time for a dry cleaner within walking distance of the Hoffman Center. I have used several other Alexandria/Kingstowne dry cleaners who offer Internet coupons or Sunday flyer discounts. But I feel that supporting your local business is the way to go. The prices for shirts and pants are comparable to most cleaners and they offer alterations too. The young lady who works the counter is kind and friendly. Turn around is quick and my clothes are top notch pressed just the way I request. My only draw back would be the early closing hours on weekdays. Traffic in DC as we all know limits early days in the office.
