This place is awesome! It has been our go to froyo spot, but sadly when we tried to go today they were closed. The sign on the door says they are closed for winter and will reopen in February — I hope they do!

Probably one of the worst fro-yo places I’ve been to. It’s so basic. The toppings are not adventurous and they don’t even have graham cracker crust… c’mon son! Sadly, I won’t be back. I’d rather go next door to Harris Teeter and buy a 2 for $ 5 Ice Cream deal. Truth.

I had been waiting months for this place to open, tempting me with a sign for froyo I just couldn’t wait to get in and try when I saw on Unilocal they were finally open! I saw they had gelato, too– a first for a froyo place for me! So naturally I had to try both. I tried the gelato first– pistachio, my go to flavor. It was AMAZING! The nutella flavor was so good, too! But being a froyo addict I had to try theirs. It was a bit of a let down. The flavors were not very good– even simply vanilla tasted too sugary-fake. I also prefer a soft-serve texture, whereas this texture was more ice-like and not palete pleasing. There was a limited selection of toppings as well, though enough to satiate the moderate-topping lover. However, the gelato was outstanding and I will definitely be back for the gelato! Decent price for froyo and gelato! Plus got a dollar off coupon for next time!

Yofroberry located in the Foxchase plaza right next to Harris Teeters, has had a sign up for coming soon for like 5 months. They finally opened on March 1st. I wandered in to check it out and see if I could find a new favorite yogurt spot. They are a self-serve place with a wide variety of flavors. They encourage you to try the flavors to find your poison. The yogurt costs 46 or 49 cents an ounce.(I can’t remember but I’ll update when I double check) They also do have a quite extensive selection of gelato which you can also have a taste. The small size cost 3.10 after tax but you get a decent quantity for your buck. I can’t claim myself to be an expert on frozen yogurt but I’ve been to many privately owned and chain places to have a decent palette. Compared to some places I’ve been the yogurt here doesn’t quite measure up. The original flavor is quite sweet and not tart like I’ve come to expect when I’ve order it. Also the froyo is not as solid and runs a little freely when serving yourself. On the flip side, the gelato actually was quite good. I ended up tasting the pistachio flavor. IMO, it should be more of a gelato place than a froyo place.

The sign has been up for months, and after all of that waiting, this place has finally opened up! I saw the ‘OPEN’ sign illuminated and wandered in where I learned that they had just opened today, March 1st, at 4pm. The name made me think that the menu would be limited to frozen yogurt, so finding a wide selection of gelato was an awesome surprise! The people working there(presumably the owners) were extremely friendly. The atmosphere inside is great. They created a really fun and clean environment. The frozen yogurt is a self-serve system, similar to another frozen yogurt place I’ve been to. You fill a cup with one of the many available flavors, add toppings, and then put it onto a scale where the weight is used to determine the price. The gelato is in a glass case that they scoop and serve it from. They encourage sampling both their frozen yogurt and their gelato to choose a flavor. I had never seen peanut butter and jelly gelato before, but after trying it, I had to order a cup of it(and I recommend that you do the same!). I thought the gelato was delicious and relatively inexpensive. I haven’t been to many frozen yogurt places, but I had a great experience here and I can’t wait to return!
